That most likely involves more money than I'm willing to spend at the moment. No need to remove the transaxle right now. Knock on wood...

If I am not mistaken, can be swapped with the transaxle in.

Interesting. It looks like it can be installed after removing one of the side covers. I have replaced a clutch in a front engine RWD car before but have always shied away from anything that requires adjusting gear lash. I think this entails that but not positive.

I think in-car LSD swaps with proper adjustment are like Bigfoot... You hear about it a bunch, many people think its real, but never hear a first-hand account.

Considering that my axle stubs needed to be machined to accommodate the wavetrac, and hearing doc needed the trans out for the guards, I am tending to agree.

Well, as we know all good things come to an end - washed the 996 and put it down for the winter.

Broke out the back up boxer for some giggles when the weather gets foul.

got a front license plate on this bish finally. did the pedal trick with the TCU and it seems to have worked after spending a good 30 minutes ripping it up out in the country backroads around here. it doesnt automatically shift into 5th after taking off like it used to and i suspect this thing has never really been in 'race' mode.

hoping to get some solid engine/trans mounts along with the IPT valve body in the future to firm this thing up even more
