You don't set them like that. Numeric has a few videos showing you what to do but basically you just make sure they're long enough to reach the shift selectors on the transmission in their forward and aft positions and you're done.

Default my wife says i have hoarding issues...

@LinwoodM 's Xona 1000 thread gave me a serious case of FOMO so i had to jump on the bandwagon... which means i either need to buy two more cars or sell off the other turbos...i'll create a separate f/s thread in the marketplace with closeups and details...

front and center are billet turbo k16s freshly rebuilt by tial zero miles on them, plug and play no core exchange needed!
on the sides are a set of Xona XR770s.. very low mileage on them and wheels spin flawlessly with no play... bought from @blockhed when he upgraded.

i feel like i can be a spokesperson for @TiALSport with the inventory i have, and of course thanks to @SamboTT@ByDesign for always taking care of me.

Yeah, you just jumped in head first, I do not see any K24s in your future...

Geez, where were you around this time last year? I would've happily bought the Xona's...

I've had the idea of converting my FVD K24s to billets but all this Xona talk has me thinking I want to go that route...

@kamlung dare I ask how much you want for the 770s?

Careful running the small frame Xona 770s. Those are like K16 billets on steroids with a huge amount of low to mid range torque. These will easily punch through 700 ft.lbs at 3500 but fizzle out up top like K16s. Rods are recommended with those for sure.

Apples to oranges.
K16 / xona770 = small frame turbo
k24 / xona980/100 = larger frame turbo.

Ooooh, I hadn't made that connection. I was under the impression the 770s were more akin to a K24 billet. That would explain why the 770s are popular with the Audi 2.7T crowd.
