@lost27 I was having the 2nd gear pop out issue. To address that, I chose to go with GT2/3 components on the 1/2 shafts and gears, GT2 3rd gear, GT3 synchros and bearings where needed. My 5th gear also needed to be replaced. I had the case machined for the GT2 slave in the correct location and updated the pivot fork to match. Added a wavetrac and upgraded to several CMS components (tensioning plate, shift arrester, and side cover). If you go for a stock rebuild with no upgrades or changes, you are probably in the 10-11k range not including shipping back and forth, but that is highly dependent on what is found during teardown. (I used the crater to facilitate shipping and receiving and that saved $300 each way, which more than paid for a very nice crate). All in, for what I did, it's pushing 17k with shipping. That does not include the added costs of the other GT2 slave conversion components which add up quick if you go with new reservoir and pump, in addition to new line, spring, and master, or all the other while you are in there with the engine out. Roger was great to work with. I reached out to him probably 3-6 months before I actually sent him the gearbox. He was very transparent with the estimate and process and I received numerous positive referrals from sources I trust. Do expect to wait though. He received the box on 7/25 and I got it back 10/18.

Roger sure does great work.
Cannot share that sentiment enough, I absolutely love mine.

I finally got around to polishing the headlights. The drivers side was looking particularly yellow. They're not perfect, and the rest of the car still needs to be sorted by the detailer (I'm not brave enough to touch the paint myself on this one). But at least it presents as a much cleaner driver now.

Picked up this stable mate for my 996TTs on BaT last week. Envisioning a very cramped two car garage with 911's over/under on a 4 post bendpak, and this 9 ton war machine adjacent. Top speed 45mph, though probably only if running from a Panzer tank. Rubber treads, no IMS bearing, no bore scoring issues. Actual "track time" unknown. Gun is mock, unfortunately. Can't wait for next Cars & Coffee.

It's a KTM 690 Enduro that's been "adventurized".
I like the floors too, but they're perforated. Which is great in the winter, since they don't get slippery. However it makes them impossible to clean up as everything falls through the tiles and the only way to clean them is to remove them from the garage and clean them separately in the driveway. So if I had to do it again, despite the fact they'd be slippery in the winter, I'd get the solid tiles instead.
