Agreed - when I took everything apart, they were in fantastic shape, but as we were all locked down, I refurbished them anyways.

It was the rears, the four pots, that were tapered quite badly, more than visible to the naked eye.

You mean the PCCB pads he mentions, or also iron rotor pads? My iron rotor pads never wear unevenly on stock calipers.

pretty much all the calipers do it to various degrees that I’ve seen over the years. The more aggressive the use (i.e track) the more pronounced it seems. This is the reason the piston sizes are different within the calipers to try to combat this.

Mine were odd; very little wear on the rotors (old guy driving it for 15 years), but very noticeable pad wear.

Scored a set of wheels/snow tires off of PCA Marketplace. Wheels and tires both have less than 500 miles and the sottozeros are date coded from middle of last year, so plenty fresh. Came just in time. The current tires were close to cords and we are getting freezing weather later this week.

Thanks. Was running an OTS COBB stage 2 tune and hoping this one is that much.

first "mod" so to speak has arrived. 60mm H&R studs. just waiting on the lugnuts to arrive. do i still need to use loctite on these as it appears there already is some on the stud?

the car came with a UMW stage 1 tune, am going to try flashing it this week as it is on the stock map.
