JP. I noticed a comment you made on replacing the nylon accordion fuel pump hoses on your 996TT but it is a very old post so I'm not sure you would see it. I want to replace the hoses to prevent a split hose at the worst time. You mentioned the Gates submersible fuel line as a better replacement. Is the size 5/16"? Approx how much hose (in length) do you need to do the whole job? While I have everything open and out should I just replace all the accordion lines since they are 18 years old?

Thanks very much. I think we have the same car. Mine is a 2002 996TT.

I have been following your posts for a long time and they have saved me many times! Appreciate all your guidance and good advice.

    Merci!
    Pete

thank you for the info. I don't have a turbo. I have a 2002 Carrera tiptronic. Does that make a difference with the manual?

    Aloha,

    jpflip,

I noticed last year you were looking for the 1/18 scale Naked Lady 911 GT2. I have one I am thinking of selling. I would rather sell it to a fellow enthusiast than just someone on ebay. Let me know if you are still interested and maybe we can come to an agreement on price. The decals are peeling on the black plastic side panel as you have seen on many others for sale. It has been left in the original box, no dust collection, exposure to sun & in a non-smoking environment.

If you are interested I will take some closeup shots for you tonight when I get home.

Look forward to hearing from you,

    Greg Haglund

    Hello,
I was reading one of your replies to someone who has a broken hose in his porsche. Yesterday I broke the nipple of a vacuum line in my cayenne 955 (V8 non turbo). Could you please take a look to my posting with tittle "955 V8 Broken Intake Plenum"? Maybe you have the answer to my question, I just would like to know how can I fix my problem or if I can use the nipple next to the broken one? The nipple next to the broken one has no hose connected to it and may be for use on other cayenne models. Maybe I can seal the broken nipple and connect the vacuum hose to this other nipple with is pretty close.

Sorry for asking you directly but seem you are a person with the proper knowledge to answer my question. I would really appreciate your help !

    cheers,
    Jochy
