removed the hydraulic system from my spoiler system and am just leaving them in the down position for the time being.

will get the eRamm kit at some point. it'd be nice to keep it OEM but this car is more of a drivers car and isnt low mileage/off color so it wont effect resale too much

I don't see the eram kit having a negative impact on the cars value at all as it addresses a fundamental design flaw

fair enough, the splicing of the microswitch wires *might* scare someone down the road perhaps but i plan on keeping it for awhile!

I might dig into it a bit tomorrow or maybe Monday but 99.9% sure the whole crankcase is junk... believe 5 pistons/cylinders are okay and valvetrain and heads look okay except for 1 intake valve/guide, will have to check everything over more soon
owner has a good mindset about going forward with repairs and wants the car done right

By the looks of it, seems like it was spinning fairly quickly when it let go.

I'd hate to be the owner right now.

This is most certainly the way; keep it, drive it, love it.

am told low-speed/pressure event... seems wrong oil over time may have caused this, he was running 10w30 I am told and 'specialist' shop that WAS servicing the car didn't know 964Turbo has a second oil filter (it was ancient)

instead of grabbing power from the o2 sensor, the engine fan seems like the safer and smarter and more hidden solution to me...works well

Does the fan wire provide constant power?

It's getting close to the end of the season here, 10c this AM, damp - brought the car in, the 660s really do not like these conditions, hard to keep it planted, could not get enough heat into them for them to be effective.

Time to swap the boxers I suppose.
