Last time I weighed my Type R, full of fluids with me in it, it weighed 2460lbs, since then I have lost a little more than 140lbs, but haven't driven it for awhile.

I mentioned to Matt that even though the R was exceptionally tossable, makes 90hp than the Elise, I felt the Lotus was a better balanced package in that I was really unable to get a feel for the upper limits of exceeding traction when 1900lbs would break free.

It struck me that the Lotus would really benefit from a featherweight flywheel, some Toda's and a remap - the suspension was totally on point. Sounds the part too.

Right now I feel way more confident in the spyder than I do with the 911 at least until I can get a proper suspension on the 911.
a fellow zzw30 brother!!! post some pics... i still miss mine and continue to try and find one in decent shape that i could swap... it was such an easy platform to work on even though i don't have the space for another toy... mine came in at 2158 when i last weighed it but was mostly bone stock at the time...

one of my friends regularly tracks his Elise, and he said that grip seems to be his limiting factor... the power to weight ratio is more than sufficient for the platform but he's found himself just losing grip around certain corners and has had to add massive downforce (BFW and diffusers)... i couldn't imagine an Exige with the blower..

I would not turn down an opportunity to turn into a contortionist to try an Exige.

There's a guy in town has a supercharged Elise (same as the Exige) and I can't imagine why I would need all that power. However, if Exiges go on sale and interest rates tank prices, I'll make room for one...

Or, I'd trade my Elise plus cash to get into an Exige, but only one with the exact same combination, of which I'm not sure there is one...

Pic is a few years old but it is mostly the same from an exterior standpoint. Just had the transmission rebuilt, longtube headers, exhaust with cat, and LINK ECU installed, it is a tad slower than when it had the old catless set up but at least it is quieter and I don't smell like gas anymore.

When I was bringing i back from the Island last Saturday, I couldn't get an earlier ferry so I stopped by a pub for some food - the car was immediately surrounded by three women arguing about the color and what it was, after the color was agreed upon, then there was some commentary on the pink belts that they all thought was 'cute'.

I am not a 'cute' kind of guy, but I smiled and thanked them. @sdematt figured it was the belts that drew them in...

Yeah, they actually look pretty good on the gray and teal interior.
