A coupe questions:
- Can you post some exhaust videos
- Where did you procure the carbon center console and lid from?

May I recommend doing a 2-stage leather treatment on your seats using Leatherique? (https://leatherique-restoration-prod...ucts/16-oz-set)

The interior is so mint, getting the leather back to as-new condition would really frame the condition well. In my experience after 2 treatments, nearly all the creases in the leather are gone and it no longer has shine in certain spots (which is a buildup of residue/dirt, etc.)

More pics and acceleration videos please
I'll try to get vids but I really do not have the equipment to record video/sound when driving. John from Speedtech has few clips on his website.

I used Carbonlution for the carbon fiber work. I can write a whole essay on that experience, but at the end, it turned out ok. Just be ready to be VERY patient with them and send stuff back to Taiwan.

Yes, leather treatment is on the to-do list.

I've been on a mission to de-plastic my interior, been using a combination of OEM leather, silver and carbon.

Haven't come across any leather wiper stalks yet, there are a few rare bits that are hard to find. But there are some beautifully made leather wrapped OEM pieces about and silver in the right places really lifts the interior.

Carbon steering column base and leather steering column to go on next.

Default Gorgeous car.

Been a long year. Starting with 100% stock 996tt that has been sitting in my garage for about 2 years and never driven.

Over winter, I started with the interior. Carbon Fiber pieces (even that stupid skinny dashboard strip that is the biggest pain to remove), alcantara numerous parts, and audio. Then I learned the engine needed to be dropped (intake manifold was cracked), so did k16 billets, injectors, clutch, inlet pipes, GT2RS ICs, mafless tune, Speedtech titanium 100 cell exhaust (sounds so good), Ohlins, wheels, and a bunch of maintenance type stuff not worth typing.

Thanks Sam by answering hundreds of my emails for the last 8+ months

I just need to clean her up now, take better pics, and finally start driving it.

Don’t know how you were able to resist not driving the car for two years. Looks really similar to mine. I do have black powder coated hollows. I drive mine at least once a week. How high does your boost goes.?? I’m still learning about these cars and yesterday watching a series of modifications videos I learned about turning PASM off. I have been talking to a few different tunners before I do the next steps. I haven’t even registered and pay taxes on my car, waiting on an appointment for August 23. Well done.

It was easy. My previous 996tt was very similar to this one (minus the upgraded turbos and clutch and it had very low miles). Once it got totaled, I was really bummed out and didn't want to restart the modifying process all over again. I wasn't even shopping for another 996tt just yet, but a friend of a friend needed to sell his stock 996tt ASAP. I bought it for a very low price. After I picked it up, I didn't have time/money to mod it. I personally don't like how a 100% 996tt drives, just my own preference.

So the car set in my garage. I think I did 100 miles in 2 years. Finally late last year, my wife said "either work on this car or sell it". So here we are.

Boost hits 1.1bar IIRC. I spoken/worked with few of the well known tuners. I do not know who you are speaking with, but just reach out to Sam and be done. He will not steer you wrong.

What are your plans for your car? If you're doing basic mods like exhaust and tune, then just get Cobb Access Port and use their V2 tune. No need for anything else. Shoot me a PM if you want to discuss further. Always happy to help.

I like how it came out. This was their second attempt though. First one didn't have the stitches perfectly straight, but Don acknowledged that and redid it without issues. He always sends detailed pics before anything get shipped back.

Similar issue with the handbrake. Just cause you sent your parts, doesn't mean you get the same parts back, as they have some parts already done and ready to ship. The handbrake's silver button I received had a couple of dings on it, which my didn't. He exchanged it without any issues.

Yes. 9" fronts and 12" rears. Center caps from a forum member that makes them.

Default Cars and coffee, put it to the limit.

Went to cars and coffees (biers for me). The weather wasn’t too good so no more than 15 cars today, Anyway after some Rye bourbon 119 proof and new Belgium juice power IPAs I drove the car to its limits, PSAM off, AC off, as high as 0.9 bar boost. Almost redline on 3, 4, 5, so you probably know how fast I was going. Anyway I answered a question I had for myself, Do I want more power?? Yessssss.

9.5 abv, juicy hazy double ipa, it’s called juicy power from new Belgium.
