What did you do to your 996TT today?

I have two 996 Turbos. One is tracked heavily, higher miles, older than the other, and has had no coolant pipes pop.
The other is notably lower miles, not tracked (but still driven as intended), newer model year, just had it's first coolant pipe pop (which, by the way, is remarkably easy to get to).
A combined ~140,000 miles and 43 years of (not gentle) use.
Whats the MTBF on that???

Three Wheelin'
I have 2 too. It was the low mileage 35,000km car that blew a pipe. When I dropped the engine 2 other pipes came out with a medium tug. The high mileage 100,000km used car I bought last year the pipes refused to budge even with tons of heat. But the car didn't come with any records so there is a chance the coolant manifolds could be newer.
I agree that time and heat cycles more than how hard the car is driven determines the likelihood of failure.
At least you aren't doing rod bearings on a BMW or head bolt and cam shafts on a c63.
Or just get a nice reliable Lexus.

With the above notes, we can conclude that they will all fail, at some point, under a myriad of conditions.

After being in storage for a month while I'm between houses, I finally got the 996 into it's new home. I'm pretty excited to go from a 430 square foot garage with 7 foot ceilings to 1200 square feet with 10 feet of air. There's another 11 feet of garage behind that wall in front of the car and it will be coming out this winter. It's not original to the house and was added by a previous owner to make a storage room in the garage, which I don't need.

I did not, yesterday was the first time I had seen or driven the car in over a month.
Which meet was he at? Exotics at RTC, The Shop, or Griot's? It was a busy weekend for car stuff, and I missed all of it.

Garage tour video?
I think I'm finally done modifying my car as of today. Installed the final pieces, color matched rocker panel covers (side skirts) and Joe Toth front lip.
Been a long year. Starting with 100% stock 996tt that has been sitting in my garage for about 2 years and never driven.
Over winter, I started with the interior. Carbon Fiber pieces (even that stupid skinny dashboard strip that is the biggest pain to remove), alcantara numerous parts, and audio. Then I learned the engine needed to be dropped (intake manifold was cracked), so did k16 billets, injectors, clutch, inlet pipes, GT2RS ICs, mafless tune, Speedtech titanium 100 cell exhaust (sounds so good), Ohlins, wheels, and a bunch of maintenance type stuff not worth typing.
Thanks Sam by answering hundreds of my emails for the last 8+ months
I just need to clean her up now, take better pics, and finally start driving it.

who did you binnacle and wheel?

Whoa, looks FANTASTIC! Congratulations
A coupe questions:
- Can you post some exhaust videos
- Where did you procure the carbon center console and lid from?
May I recommend doing a 2-stage leather treatment on your seats using Leatherique? (https://leatherique-restoration-prod...ucts/16-oz-set)
The interior is so mint, getting the leather back to as-new condition would really frame the condition well. In my experience after 2 treatments, nearly all the creases in the leather are gone and it no longer has shine in certain spots (which is a buildup of residue/dirt, etc.)
More pics and acceleration videos please
