You can wax the car, it will just top the ceramic. You should be using something like a ceramic spray after each wash. You can use one while its wet and prior to drying. It will add to the coating and promote longevity.
I've been using the Armorall ceramic wash - works very well in maintaining the finish.
I got the Elise back from getting its yearly ceramic coat maintenance/touchup. Turbo is waiting, but I should have a nice trip planned for the Turbo soon

Day 2 and counting... the weekend is now also going to be wet, yay.
I am picking it up from the dealer today! The cheapest, and possibly least attractive, 996TT manual coupe for sale in the US. This is after the headlight tint was removed to pass inspection, which is already a significant improvement. That said, if anyone wants to trade some hollow spokes for 997TT wheels with fresh PS4S's let me know!

Reason: Picture
Also - thought I'd share a couple quick pics since I've been MIA for a little while... Got my wheels powder coated Prismatic Spanish Gold and picked up a Fabspeed gen 1 exhaust from another forum member
Shoutout to @bokehdynamics for the pics! He said he just picked up a 996 too, so excited to see it around
Btw... anyone know how to lower the fronts more on these PSS9s? I'm maxed out in the front, but the ride height is killing me!
Thank you Sir! I have really missed the manual, have to install the new seats, change the oil, mount the 660s, but she is running very strong... actually found the 615s were not performing great in the rain yesterday, but that's probably Sam's fault...
Pretty happy with getting up at 0330 and running into the office with no one else on the road... Happy times.
A couple of spring pics with the coming of the cherry blossoms;
My 2003 TT came with a Fabspeed Gen 1. How do you find the drone? I love the sound other than that.
Mine has 100-cell cats. Same with yours?
I love it! It's actually pretty quiet for me. My 987 Boxster has a Borla catback, and the drone on there is pretty noticeable (some people might even say it's unbearable). Even with this "drone" from the gen 1, it's still super livable.

I would trade my twists for those; if interested, shoot me a PM.
I installed the Rennkit bluetooth retrofit kit, which is a Mr12Volt device with all the necessary hardware. I had to remove an old Sirius FM modulator setup, which was unnecessarily complex, likely due to its vintage.
The hardest part was removing the PCM unit, as three of the plastic screw devices that are turned to depress the metal tabs were broken or missing. The install of the actual Mr12Volt unit took less than 20 minutes, including tapping for power and ground. It works flawlessly. I understand the install on my 2003, with Bose and MOST, is very simple.
I like these types of bluetooth setups, as they preserve the stock look. I don't have any need for the navigation or CarPlay/Android Auto features in the PCCM+, which I admit is a very cool device.
