It wasn't today, but a few days ago. Changed my oil, with some assistance from my 4 year old son. The DIY thread was an awesome guide and thanks to @2fcknfst for advising me not to destroy the threads on the turbo oil reservoirs and skip that part.

Pleasure... it is always nice to have a set of little hands; perhaps we can get him to change my coils and plugs....?

Nice, I'm sure he enjoys the time spent with dad. There's no reason not to change the oil in the tanks, I use a torx bit sized similar, you'll never have any issue. The allen head is not a good design coupled with age/time.

I've watched several YouTube videos on it, Friends Green Porsche, Frannies Garage, etc. They never mentioned that issue and it seemed to go fine. Does anyone know of a part to replace the plugs with a torx fitting? Or is it the actual threads that can be damaged? It's not very much oil, and I can see where it's not a big deal to skip.

I've never had an issue with them. Use the correct sized allen bit and make sure it's totally seated.

I replace all four drain plugs with magnetic plugs from this place (no affiliation) https://drainplugmagnets.com/cars/porsche/

Plugs needed for the TT: two 18 X 1.5 and two 20 X 1.5 plugs and lots of sealing rings ;-)

that's awesome. love the bonding, i try to get my son to help and he usually has enough attention span for 5 mins before he knows all his toys are inside and rather be playing there than hearing daddy yell obscene words... my daughter is better help and will probably be the one into cars...

my driver side is seized and the allen is stripped... when i bought the car and looked through the service records it was noted on one of the receipts from an oil change by the shop... i ordered new factory replacements and changed the passenger side so it's fresh, when i even attempted to try and do the driver side, it did not budge and the correct sized allen kept slipping inside, i just left it alone... i just leave it until i need to swap my turbos to the billet then i'll have my tech fix it. i'm guess the best way would be to weld a nut on the drain plug then combined with the heat, it should break it free (hopefully)

I always drain the oil from both turbos. I've never had any issues with the process.
