Did you do please the engine for this?

Make sure to pull on your boost hoses after replacing the clips. I didn't and promptly blew a hose off during the test drive 😂

Squeezed a little more life out of some used wheel center caps that I got off eBay.

At first they seemed unusable, but I masked them off with tape, and used progressively finer grits of sand paper (3200, 4000, 6000) and then plastic polish to brighten them up.

Nothing to be done about the many fine cracks, but from a distance they look fine…

Certainly a lot better then the ones that came on the car (which were falling apart)…

Just got the car back from the detailer's shop today. When i picked up this tt, the paint was dull and it needed some love. Now the car looks brand new and I am freaking loving it. Full detail + coating + wheel oxidation off + brake clean + full interior steamed. Very happy customer :thumb:

Next up, installing Cobb AP tune from By Design and getting SamboTT to help me with some custom tune. Can't wait.

Was stalling out when coming to a stop if I left it in gear and used the engine to slow the car down. Car is new to me so I was figuring it was the LWFW and the tune didn't account for it. Figured it was worth a shot so I cleaned the MAF sensor and it worked! No more stalling. Happy camper. Now I need to get rid of the post cat CEL codes I'm getting from the high flow cats... probably going to just get spacers.

Might be able to spray some clear on the emblems then polish them. Maybe the clear would fill in the cracks?

I actually did try that, but the cracks are too fine for the clear to flow into them.

I used to do a lot of scale modeling, and it was generally the norm that cracks like that just had to be lived with.

Fortunately, they look ok on casual examination, and my car is far from "show" for many reasons…
