If you are talking about 997 turboII wheels, I don't think they will fit the 996. The offsets are different. The Sport Techos she is currently wearing are considered to be highly desirable by us 996 aficionados. You definitely want to save them.

It's a factory painted piece, so it should match. But yeah, it looks different under fluorescent light.
Got the car at 4:30 yesterday. First time I actually laid eyes on it.
First order of business is Turbo II wheels. Second order of business is reverting to stock lid/wing.

The color comment was tounge in cheek - I did not know the car was yellow

congrats on the car! it looks great and kudos to you for reverting back to the stock spoiler. if you ever get up the north malibu mountain canyons way? we sometimes have some impromptu sprints. there's a another yellow one that comes up, would give ya a run for your money. ..anyway. enjoy the car! looks great.

Ha. Thanks. I'll PM you on the Sport Technos -- they are sitting on the floor at Wheel Enhancement now waiting for me to fetch them.

I'm not quite up to Stunt until I get some more seat time. And after a LOT of seat time, maybe Deer Creek Road...
But I did fill up the wheel wells today... Wheel Enhancement set me up with 7mm front and 15mm rear spacers.

7x15 is awesome. ran that for a cpl years on stock twists before i went 9x12x18. was a perfect stance.
well it would be nice to give ya the nickel tour someday but sounds like you know your way around the "park" lol
cheers and enjoy the car!!

I changed my oil today for the first time in the 8 months I have owned the car. I noticed that my mechanic used an aluminum washer on the oil tank instead of the copper. I was ready for the oil with a pretty deep oil pan that I had bought at harbor freight. The hardest part of the oil change was jacking the car up and then tightening the oil tank nut while holding the other wrench.
I also painted my rear bumperettes with wurths satin trim finish.

Detailed mine twice on the weekend as I got blasted by a gardeners dirt debris on a highway just after I washed her.. doh
Retuned back to 93 octane after running E85 for a few weeks to see power difference (it is quite enormous). I was doing 40-80 mph in 3rd gear under 3.00 secs on E85 and 3.2+ on 93 octane

Replaced the engine air filter. Got rid of the K&N filter the previous owner had (real dirty) and put in a Mahle paper filter. The filter was perhaps oiled heavily since there was some oil under the airbox. I plan to replace this once a year anyway and I do not want to deal w/ washing/oiling K&N filters.

Unfortunately you lost 10HP according to K&N.
