Here is the part # 997 602 104 02 for the new improved coils.

Just tightened the hose clamp on the F tube to the diverter valves where it comes off the y pipe. Guess I left it loose after replacing the wastegate actuator rods and adjusting them. It went back to 1.1 bar, was only getting .9. Makes a BIG difference. Started breaking up a little around 4k, guess it's time for plugs. Can it break up like that and not throw a code?

Nope! Came with new hardware as the "ears" are thicker.

Today I didn't do anything - Just enjoyed the commute!

Drove the Porsche for my 80 mile roundtrip commute for the first time, most of the trip unfortunately is on not very well paved highway. What a car. I just can't get enough of flooring the throttle at 4k RPMs and leaving all the suckers behind. Makes you feel sorry when you get home.

Changed my plugs today. The old Beru plugs had a gap of about .045. runs much better now no more break up at 4-5K and full boost. It also seems to have almost eliminate the low speed partial throttle hiccup i was experiencing. Took about 3 hours.

Default detailed the car

Detailed it for the spring. Tried a different polish - HD Polish Ultra Finishing. I am pretty happy with the results. Griot's carnuba and best of show on top of the polish. iphone pics.

Wet-sanded and polished one of my headlights. I thought they were looking slightly cloudy after parking next to another 996TT at a PCA gathering over the weekend. It didn't make any visual difference comparing it to the other one that I didn't do, so I either need heavier grit sandpaper or I'm going crazy.

Yesterday - Replaced the broken variocam solenoid bracket on the right side.
If you're planning on doing anything under the heat shields over the valve covers - take an extra minute per side and pull these brackets and inspect for cracks!

T10Chris just reminded me to sand and polish my gross-looking headlights.

Why don't you guys use clear bra over the headlights?

I have to admit I was a bit squeamish to take sandpaper to these headlights at first, but it's pretty easy to work with. Have fun with it!

Unless I am missing something, clear bra wont do anything to help if the lights are already hazey/cloudy, but adding clear bra after polishing them would be a good idea.

You can put the clear bra right over the hazy and it will look clear again.

Seriously? That seems so odd to me. So if I just take some Xpel film and apply it... that's it?

Yep unless your headlights are crazy hazed over like where they're yellow and ready for the landfill. You could do some light buffing with a buffer to bring them back a little.
