Not I my friend! I'd take it on road trips, ice cream runs and to get groceries before I head to the track I'd probably swap out the carbon ceramics for that though!

I used to think that, but the value thing "creeps" up on you; 996 was good insulation for a while but here comes the big money finally: right now

Suddenly you can't remember the last time you drove it and the battery is dead

Trickle charger is 100% proof you're now an evil collector

What's the value in a car that you can't even enjoy the way it was meant to because of its value?

Exactly, not a car anymore just a commodity

Money is transformative: like how Eric Bana's agent was able to "steal" that guy's dream car away from him on "The Beast"; left him broken weeping shell of a man, but rich

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/20.../eric-bana-car

Everybody has a price

Weird experience at AD today. Went to see about another key, and their inventory is down to two cars. Total. One Macan and one Boxster. How can Porsche be viable without cars? They had no idea if or when any more cars are coming. Apocalyptic

Same here in IL. Wonder how many dealerships will close up shop. Service drives part of the revenue. But so does car sales. Interesting times.

It's all some sort of a trap. I heard it's the same thing with Rolex watches. If you want to buy one they will laugh at you, yet, the local jewelry store is building a Rolex only addition. What will they fill it with? Hopes and dreams?

They are ordering cars every car and doing deliveries probably every day. It seems to be working as a business model. I believe profits are up exponentially, from what my sales advisor told me. MSRP+ pricing and possibly more expensive builds because you are getting exactly what you want.

Same with most dealers. I’ve had money on a C8 Stingray build for almost a year and I think my number will be called late summer. The sales advisor is constantly busy building and delivering.

What he said. This is quite common in Europe as well. While there are cars on the lot, it's more common to spec your car and have delivered exactly what you want. This is probably cheaper for the dealer as they don't have to store cars and keep them insured and etc.

That is 100% opposite from traditional dealer MO but exponentially better

Hope it's true

not driving your car to preserve the resale value is like not having sex with your wife so she's fresh for her next husband

someone said this to me recently about motorcycles and I loved it.

That transport ship sinking had consequences. Now Charlie the Tuna is tooling around in a GT3RS that was headed to a dealership near you.
