Call me crazy. And I know many of you will but... the amber side markers are coming back in fashion.
When I see a car that has the clear side markers, I think something looks off. It sticks out to me. The amber is more era appropriate. Personally I own both and it's a cheap mod. Fun to change things up sometimes. But the full stock look of the 996 is really, really coming of age imo.
Anyone else experience this... yet?
Edit: I will say this is color specific. The clear side markers look fabulous on that red, but on the silver targa I think I would prefer the amber.

Excellent advice. When professional photographers have shared shots of my cars with me, I am astounded at the quality compared to the best of my own photos. I can't think of a better investment than getting professional photos done.

Don't get me wrong; I'm a pumpkin man through-and-through and I will convert any clear car I end up owning. I just am saying I have an explanation for why so many have been converted in the first place.

It's not just the quality of the photos too. A good photographer won't shoot mid-day where sun is harsh producing hard shadows. A good photographer will know that and shoot early in the morning or during the "golden hour", if outside. Framing and flattering angles go a long way. You'd be surprised how much of a difference turning your wheels a certain direction or laying down on the ground will do for a car photo. Also, human eye likes symmetry. That should be taken into account when framing shots. Shoot, now I'm thinking of offering this as a service locally as more people sell cars on-line, be it BaT, Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace. As an example, my dad's 2004 base Subaru Forester 5-speed with 165k miles and records since 23k miles got an offer of $800 from the dealer. Once I prepped it and photographed it, it sold in 3 days for the asking price of $4700.00. Presentation matters.

RL members have been a great help,
I just wish the weather would cooperate, we had a break two days ago for about eight hours with out some sort of rain.
That's when I ran down the park and took those photos myself with phone. It has been raining just enough to keep roads wet, and don't dear drive off on to grass, my lawn is mushy.
BaT is just waiting on more photos.
I had a drone photographer set up twice, both times rained out

The photographer I had planned on, my friend and fellow Porsche owner, we made arrangements twice, both times rained out. Now his availability is getting close to zero.
We don't live in a big city area, so options are limited.
I just reached out to some of the Street Rod, Racers etc. facebook groups I belong to for recommendations for a professional photographer that does cars,
I got one recommendation so far, the place specializes in Boudoir Photo shoots , you can't make this &%$* up.
I just emailed BaT, to see if they have anyone close by.
Thanks again
David
