Passing on a sunroof delete: I feel that tremendous pain

I passed on a Speed Yellow 996 sunroof delete (even rarer than 964) for $14K only two years ago

I think about that almost every day

Impossible not to

I have two recent private sale data points to share.

Sold
early build 99 Guards Red manual coupe with 107k miles. Original IMS. Condition 2.5 - $26k

Pending
99 Vesuvio manual coupe 113k. Original IMS. Condition 3.5 - $18.5k

I probably undersold then by a little, but they went to good homes and I’m happy with the prices.

“High miles” to the market in general, but insiders know those M96 are just breaking in

Same with the IMS

Great buys for knowledgeable buyers there

Heidi & Franny's DIY videos are the best on the internet in my opinion

One of the best deals out there is the original Boxster S. Still affordable, and close to a 911.

"Close to a 911". That is very questionable. Boxster S acceleration in Sport Plus and Launch control and my C4S left in the dust. Dunno about the race to 100, or 120, I bet on the Boxster. I drive the 911 C4S, and my wife drives the Boxster S.
Boxster handling in the twisties is excellent.
Of course I love my 911 but the Boxster is one helluva a car.

I passed on a ‘73 RS for $10,000 (STUPID). Got you beat! Yeah, the pain of that grinds on me every day, but the GT helps a little.

Can you provide a link to this please?

Looks like both sellers and buyers on BAT are on strike. Sellers don't like the prices being offered for their cars, and buyers don't like the cars being offered enough to bid them up. Could change tomorrow.

I really like this spec. I could see this going for a lot. I'd be all over this if I weren't already a 996 c4s owner.

Even has sport technos. Wow.

2000 Boxster S 0-60 = 5.2s; quarter mile = 13.8s
1999 911 0-60 = 4.9s; quarter mile = 13.4

Braking similar, handling similar, headlights similar.
