I agree with GC above, if I had the opportunity to purchase a well sorted, tastefully modded 996 WITH proof of a responsible owner (Rennlist history), I would have. However, I don’t think you get much more $ for the mods, though I may be wrong.

Thank you
You right about the history.
This car has been documented about since my purchase.
Thanks for the encouragement.

I think it will be an interesting exercise to actually see a well documented and sorted 996 on BAT. But most that have been put up on BAT for sale had limited history.

We know they are out there. Heck I have every service record including every oil change over the past 20 years for my 02. Thats 82 to be exact. But I am not looking to sell. Bet there is alot of us.

The car is gorgeous, well sorted and taken car of. Any enthusiast will recognize that it will be cheaper to buy a 996 like this over one that they can get cheaper, then have to pay for a refresh and upgrades to get it to this level. I am not saying that every buyer is logical, but those with brain cells will tally it up.

If you don't get your price, you can always pull it from the auction. Yeah, I know, there is a cost to everything. Just thinking out loud with you.
Thanks G
It just hit 84,000
I bought it in 2014 with mid 40s.
Everyone is entitled to do as they want with there cars for sure.
I enjoyed the hell out of my car. But I also paid up for all the precautionary changes and the relantless maintenance that these cars require.
Collector's, I would think, are looking for garage queens with super low miles.
Some of those folks who pay $50k for a 20 year old garage queen might be in for a shock when they find out how much they need to spend on getting car up to date with maintenance.
The garage queen warning on RL has been covered a lot.
I see both sides to the debate on modifications.
The mods were guided with input from not only one of the best tuners in the country, but with the help of hundreds of RL members. That expierance, advise, guidance, and camaraderie was priceless. (comes with occasional bb)

Why not try it on Rennlist first? The enthusiasts here will be more receptive, indeed possibly desirous, of modifications

yeah I think Audi was affected as well. It’s the risk with just in time manufacturing.

What happened, wasn't that sold a week or two ago?

Does it happen often that completely auctions on BAT don't result in an actual sale?

Have any of you on here recently sold a car on BaT or any other auction site?

It's about 180-200 miles (depending on going north or south) round trip to Porsche Dealership or qualified Indy for me.

I will encourage a PPI.

Have you done multiple PPIs for multiple bidders?

I just had my car serviced at Porsche Syracuse and they did a multipoint Inspection which I will be posting with the auction.

I've done 46 auctions on BringaTrailer - what would you like to know?
