Say it isn't so! So I called Porsche NA today to find out if my car ('21 C2S) exited production as scheduled today (was told on Wednesday that it was in production and would be complete on 7/17 and on a ship by 8/7 and released to the dealer 9/11) and to get the VIN to try again with the Porsche Connect people to get my car on My Porsche and TYD. So the conversation starts out well, the Customer Relations person is able to immediately pull up my VIN number using the Commission Number. Then things took a turn for the worse, she goes and your car will be out of production on 9/4 and arrive at the dealer in October (didn't even hear the date at that point). I asked what could have happened that my car was in production on Wednesday due to be complete today and all of a sudden be pushed out 6 weeks?!? She had no idea and said she could only tell me what she was seeing on the screen (the original dates from Wednesday by the way matched exactly what the dealer told me at the time of order). I am hoping that this is one of the weird glitches in their system that gives strange dates at times. The only other things I can think of is something went very wrong in production or I have a part based on my order that is now an issue.
Then after waiting a good chunk of time to speak to someone in Porsche Connect to try to use the Vin number that I got to try to get TYD and have the car show up in My Porsche I ended up getting disconnected! Not the way to start the weekend!

Makes you wonder if the changeover to MY21 being so close to their August shutdown, maybe they're pushing MY21 builds to start after their holiday.
My MY20 was originally scheduled to complete production on 7/17 based off it's original event key; but finished a week early (7/10). So I believe that is the last of the MY20's

^ I hope your info is wrong and your car is on schedule. Several of us have an on ship date of 8/7, my completion date is 7/24. Plenty of time to get to the ship. What is on your build? Any custom tailoring?

Nothing really unusual to my build. I was thinking could it be one of the new '21 parts such as the extended range fuel tank, ambient lighting or the front wheels (did the Exclusives painted in Satin Black) that could be causing a problem. Other than that it is GT Silver with Black Leather with Chalk Stitching, nothing too off the beaten path.

Would actually love to know if I could change something if that is the issue. Given we are heading into the colder months that month of drive time is really important to me (before car goes into hibernation for the winter). If it was spring I would not care as much. Plus looking forward to the car to be a distraction since you can't do most anything that you used to like to do prior to COVID these days!

Uh oh. I bet their new "race-tex" supplier is the issue. Should of kept Alcantara

It does sound like a parts delay. I am calling Porsche NA on Monday to determine my status even though I still show production complete on 7/24. I have 2 2021 options on my car, lightweight glass and extended range tank.

Same with my MY20. Although my dealer had told me that all model year 21 would be delayed and no US deliveries until at least mid-October. He said that that was the information from his area agent. They still have 2020s that are in production. I suspect that the early dates were just place holders and now production is getting ready to start for 2021s soon. Probably everybody's information will update soon and show the new delayed dates.

In the German forums there are also several members that have their 2021 production confirmed.

We know of at least one 2021 that is finished. @markchristenson has a V300 status, production complete.
