Off topic (somewhat), but you may be the first person on all of Rennlist (and maybe one of the first in the world!!) with a picture of your 911 as it was in production. Very jealous. Will make for a cool print to hang in the garage!

I hadn’t thought of that, the birth of my automotive baby on the garage wall! I have a better capture below. In the first photo, notice the car is up on a center platform for workers to build it up. The second picture you will notice that at some point the middle platform was lowered, and by looking at the tracks see that the shuttle is at the end of the line. I assume the overhead crane would lower, those arms swing around under the carriage, and lift it to another spot. Perhaps to the spot behind for a test, perhaps off the platform and onto the floor to drive out.

Build locks tomorrow, 7/17. Dealer is saying projected delivery is end of October. Does that sound about right?

Assuming you are on the west coast, yes. No production in August, you just missed July.

Talking to dealer about mine today. He is working on changing allocation from a C2 to a C4 for me. Porsche in US has approved it. Waiting on the Germans now. Sounds like you are getting his first Targa.

My build locks on Saturday, mid-Sept build and delivery to Boston area dealer projected for 10/23. This is from my dealer and matches what track your dream shows.

My dealer keeps telling me Porsche will email me with track your dreams only once building starts...how did you get yours earlier?

Dealers, as a rule have no clue about TYD. According to the app, you can track your car from when you enter the order (order creation). Getting the TYD email is pretty hit and miss. Read the TYD thread, it gives you some hints on ways to bug Porsche.

I honestly don’t really know. I didn’t do anything and as far as I know my dealer didn’t do anything other than provide my email address to PCNA in connection with the build. I do have another existing Porsche and, as a result, active My Porsche account for the other car. One day I went into the account to do something with the other car, and I just noticed that the order for my 992 was also showing. It had a link to TYD that didn’t work right away, but started worked a couple of weeks later. I really don’t know what happened, but I’m guessing that my active My Porsche account using the same email address as associated with my 992 build must have triggered something on the back end of the system to give me TYD.

That's exactly what happened to me. I called and spoke to so many people- and I heard a lot of different reasons why I didn't get it. Persistence paid off here. I did finally get TDY. Good luck!
