Sold my 2012 to the dealer I bought it from ( got $5500 more than they offered). They did a courtesy trade so I did save 3000.00 in taxes. I bought several cars from them in the past and they are great to deal with. Called their Regional Vice President and left a message. He called me back in 10 minutes. Told him what was going on,He asked my name and already seemed to know what was going on. However in the past I went with friends to order Porsches and they just did the build put down a deposit, dealer told the when it would be in and it came in close to date.
I'm pretty sure this is fraud. They took your money and gave you a fake commission number. You may not be the only person they have done this to.

Might help your case to point this out to them....

Dealerships days are numbered. Porsche has Porsche Direct in the works, which is a Telslalike online order system. Much more straightforward and efficient. The days of dealing with middle men will soon be over.

Speculation, or do you have info and sources you can link? It would make sense they're looking at it, but I've never seen anything about it online.

Totally agree. Had a very similar experience with my first P-car. SA new virtually nothing and had come from selling Volvo's!
Getting any form of reduction is very hard work (£3000 on my first, £4000 on my second) and also contains an element of luck.
Very few SA's are true enthusiasts and TBO most of us could manage our orders online.
I would be very happy to click on 'buy' on the configurator, receive a lockdown date and select home delivery or a trip to Zuffenhausen!

Just found out the car is ahead of schedule and sitting at the port waiting for its ride.

Excitement intensifies.

Wow, another sibling car here. Is that four of us so far on this boat? It should shove off in two days (or less).

I think Im on that boat too. My 992 has been at Emden since 7/8 waiting to be loaded. My SA said that it was loaded Friday 7/10 but I think he is wrong. According to Vesselfinder the only auto carrier in Emden on 7/10 was City of St.Petersburg and it seems to be heading north, now in Tyne, UK.
Meanwhile SwftAce is setting in Emden now and my TYD website still says that it is waiting to be loaded. My guess is that mine will be on Swift Ace. I am in Colorado and my vehicle will come in through Houston Port in the Gulf.

I think we all are the last run of the 2020 models. The next batch will be 2021s.

I am in Durango, CO. My car comes through Houston sea port then via carrier to Albuquerque where I take delivery from my nearest Porsche dealer.

I think that we are all Davisville. Mine will go to Porsche Tyson's, D.C. area on the Virginia side.

Double checked with PCNA. My commission number is valid . No VIN on it. This is just a case of the SA who is the sales manager not knowing how to be upfront with people. Will see what happens.

Nice! You're the first! Did it come in an email? Or is it on your TYD (my Porsche app)?
