Very few SA's are true enthusiasts and TBO most of us could manage our orders online.
I would be very happy to click on 'buy' on the configurator, receive a lockdown date and select home delivery or a trip to Zuffenhausen!
Yeah unfortunately the competency rate is often below par. Personally, I prefer dealing purely with the source. Nothing against dealerships or that model, but direct relationships with the company is such an authentic delight. Most of my cars I’ve flown out to P in Ger to handle ordering, especially when dealing with Exclusive requests. There’s just too much room for misunderstanding and the timelag of having the SA communicate with the factory. You have to deal with regulations and shipping procedures when over seas but the experience is bar none. Buying online is obviously the future, but we’ll see how Porsche does it.

You and Dan are fortunate to get these photos. I hope this is a sign of things getting better with TYD.

And, as a result of checking TYD this morning, my car, 2021, is now in production, but the milestone date is still wrong.... At least I a getting current updates and the schedule is getting better.

Mine was stuck at Scheduled for Production until it arrived in Emden. I wonder if you have the first 2021??

One of the first for sure. There are a few others on here that have the same production dates. Maybe they can chime in and see if they are in production also.....

I think the story announcing this feature said there were two photo stations along the line, so I think you have both now, Dan.

Thanks much. For a BMW X3 I had built years ago, I received a video of the production. It was so cool, but they only did it that year for some reason. I wonder if it was human related. Notice that nobody is in the shot, just the car.

My commission was a weird situation and I got access to TYD after the car was built so I doubt i will get build pictures. Either way....excited the car is on the way.

Looks like the pictures are loading around the time the cars are loaded onto the ship. A couple weeks after finishing production. So the timeline makes sense for others getting it

These pics are awesome! I wonder if my car has pics available as it was built a few weeks ago. While I do have TYD, I still don't see the build in My Porsche...only my current vehicle.

Called Porsche and they gave me the VIN number, but they still weren't able to add the build to my account. Crazy how poorly this all works.
