My ‘21 was completed on 7/15. I’ll call my SA at the back-end of this week to find out any updates on shipping. I mentioned somewhere that, for California, the ‘21 cars are not yet CARB-approved (California Air Resource Board), so not sure if/how that is/is not impacting the logistics of moving completed cars from Germany to US destinations.

That is consistent with what my dealer told me. I was telling him that I was worried about getting my 2020 MY 911 so late when 2021s would be arriving just 2 weeks later. He said that all 2021s to the US would be delayed as well until about mid-October for customer orders and that most dealers would not have dealer stock to sale until December or January. This might have changed since he told me this about a month ago but it seems to be confirmed by your SA.

I just called porsche about my 2021 c2s, they still say my car will go into production this friday with a delivery date on 9/18.... so unless the dates change once the car is actually produced? As a data point this is roughly my build

Gentian C2s
slicktop
sport pack
RWS
FAL
black matrix
SD front bumper
spyders
sportex seats
racetex roof
big fuel tank
bose

Well, as of today, my dealer showed me the tracking sheet and my 2021 completion date is still 7/24 and arrival at the dealer on 9/11. It also shows exiting Port Emdon on 8/7 but the only ship to Houston finished loading on 8/1. Maybe I'll get my car sooner?

That's definitely an area where the readily available data points are not synched up.

I hope you get your car as planned and it isn't delayed. It just gives me more ammunition to negotiate more of a discount as my dealer has already said if 2021s were that early he would give me some more price break.

Yes, that is the "on ship" date, estimate. 8/7 is the last day the port is open before the summer break. Probably why we all have that date. The Mediterranean Highway is scheduled to leave Emdon on 8/1 and arrive in Houston on 8/19. If all goes according to plan, I could have my car before the Labor day weekend.

I could be wrong, but the CARB-APPROVED happens once it hits San Diego. It happened with our 2018 Macan GTS. It sat in San Diego for an extra month, till California got its crap together. Our dealer gave us a second year on our service, plus PFF on the front end for the inconvenience.

inastrangeland, Do you know if the Swift Ace is going to Houston after docking in Davisville? My 911 was in completed on 7/4 and in Emden waiting for a vessel on 7/8. The Swift Ace arrived in Emden on the 12th and left for the US on the 15th. I am assuming I am on the Swift Ace and that it heads to Houston after docking in Davisville (the current destination) but I don't have the ships entire schedule. No other vessels have arrived in Emden since that are headed toward the US.

Unfortunately my TYD has crashed and still shows the vehicle in Emden and the site reports Java script errors and won't load the map any longer. My new SA is a new young kid that doesn't know squat as my original SA retired a few weeks ago.

Thanks Todd. So it looks like I could be on either the Swift Ace or loading soon on the Good Wood. Here's hoping for the Swift Ace as it will be here a week sooner.

Yes, apparently most east coast ships go to Houston. The Swift Ace left Emdon on 7/15 and is scheduled to dock in Houston on 8/4.

Thanks. Todd cleared that up for me. Unfortunately still no way to know for sure which ship I'm on until my SA get's his act together or TYD starts working again. At least I know I'm wither on the Swift Ace or the Goodwood and they are only about a week apart in schedule.
