Of course, do understand, money is an object.
1. your call
2. and 3. if you go CR imoho, black wheels (and thinking all black-perhaps you could go S wheels in all black) look the best with CR. CR vs. gt silver-it's being noticed or under the radar
4. i guess, it was a later add for me, as well as 18 way. My window is 10 years or more of ownership. Not imperative by any means. For resale-I suppose. But limited overall value. It just seems that lots of people get it.
5. Saving here would be okay too
6. Leather would add 4k, but once you get in, you will have the leather and it will be worth it.
just a few thoughts.
Regards, Mark

I am trying to order a new 2021 992. Allocations are not open yet from my dealership in Ohio. Thats OK for now as I am quite undecided about a few things...
1. Base Cabriolet or Coupe? Difference in money is significant but will add more options to the coupe than the cab, should I go that route. However, need opinions here. Does the functional wind deflector on the new model 911's really work to cut wind in cabin when top is down? Since its just the push of a button, appears to be quite easy to use. Being a woman, I hate what a convertible does to my long hair when I drive a cab. We have a 2002 911 cab and the wind is bad without the wind deflector and being an older model, wind deflector is all mechanical so we don't use it.
2. Color ? I am pretty set on either Carmine Red or GT Silver, CR winning out... But price upcharge is signficant, almost $4k for carmine red. Looks amazing in videos though...
3. 20/21 inch Carerra S wheels in standard silver with black and white crests or spend another 2k and get the Carerra Exclusive Design wheel which I love (retro looking). But price increase is significant. Almost 4k for the Exclusive wheels.
4. Am getting Sport Chrono and Sport Exhaust. Guys at dealership said both are a must have.
5. Am ordering sport faschia on front only. I do not like the open mouth look of the front. Rear is gorgeous as is. Not sure I completely like the faschia rear.
6. Is there a significant difference in the all leather package for the standard seats or not? Is partial leather noticeable in the interior? Full leather adds over 4k to price. Money IS an object for me. Want to keep total price 130k or less.
Sorry to hijack post but could not find on this forum where I could ask questions. This forum has been so helpful to me in deciding how to spec my new car order. Thank you.

Cabriolet - get as many options as you like - functional wind deflector works.....nonfunctional one will not![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
2. Color ? I am pretty set on either Carmine Red or GT Silver, CR winning out... But price upcharge is signficant, almost $4k for carmine red. Looks amazing in videos though...
Carmine Red - it’s worth it (but I’m biased) - you know what color you like, hardest part is over....you’re ready to write the check
3. 20/21 inch Carerra S wheels in standard silver with black and white crests or spend another 2k and get the Carerra Exclusive Design wheel which I love (retro looking). But price increase is significant. Almost 4k for the Exclusive wheels.
Get what you love - you deserve it
4. Am getting Sport Chrono and Sport Exhaust. Guys at dealership said both are a must have.
Vrooom !!...they are right![burnout](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/burnout.gif)
5. Am ordering sport faschia on front only. I do not like the open mouth look of the front. Rear is gorgeous as is. Not sure I completely like the faschia rear.
Knowing what you like is 99% of your answer

Coupe :-)

Carmine Red is gorgeous. I used to like Guards Red, but the shine has come off for me over the years, but Carmine? Drop dead gorgeous.
3. 20/21 inch Carerra S wheels in standard silver with black and white crests or spend another 2k and get the Carerra Exclusive Design wheel which I love (retro looking). But price increase is significant. Almost 4k for the Exclusive wheels. Personally I like the Carrera S wheels.
4. Am getting Sport Chrono and Sport Exhaust. Guys at dealership said both are a must have. I would agree, but it’s also a personal decision, like all of this :-)
5. Am ordering sport faschia on front only. I do not like the open mouth look of the front. Rear is gorgeous as is. Not sure I completely like the faschia rear. I originally leaned that way, but over time I realized that the “open mouth look” is actually the intended look, so I went with what Porsche was trying to do. Doesn’t mean the SD front is bad, but it was an area to save a couple bucks and stick with the intended look.
6. Is there a significant difference in the all leather package for the standard seats or not? Is partial leather noticeable in the interior? Full leather adds over 4k to price. Money IS an object for me. Want to keep total price 130k or less. Standard is not bad, but if you can squeeze in the full you should!

The journey was very exciting getting from order to Emden... but now the wait really begins with only a few of steps left (and a lot of elapsed time).
16 days until I get on the boat
37 days to Jacksonville
44 days to the dealer
Gotta paint the house or something to get my mind off this

My TYD has been interesting. Started production a day early on 10/29. When I log in, it still says scheduled for production, but when i click the TYD link and go into the detailed part, it already says its on its way to Emden with estimated production completion and departure for Emden still saying 11/6. So I'm assuming it must be ahead of schedule.

Some good input in earlier posts. I'll address two things. Unless you truly crave an open top for whatever days you can use it, go coupe. More happiness on more days. The other is color, don't buy a car like this, try and save $4k on the color and then spend your ownership thinking about that other color. Bad energy. Carmine Red.
