Who is doing your PPF?
TLC Auto. They're doing the Modesta Glass Coating on the body, wheels and over the front-end PPF treatment.

It's Gentian Blue. I was torn between those two colors. Either way, I knew I'd go with the window surround in aluminum. It really highlights the iconic silhouette of the 911. I think Gentian Blue is one of those colors that will look very blue and very bright if it's a sunny day, but extremely dark and almost midnight black in low-light scenarios.

I couldn't get an early 21 build. Happily stuck with a 20 build.

What brand of PPF? Do you mind sharing their quote?

I am thinking about getting the rims done, too.

Barring my circumstances. I had the choice to get another MY20 or a MY21. I opted for the MY20 and my GM traded with another dealer to get it, as that was the car I wanted to keep long term. Not to mention I already have a custom plate for it as well.

Based on these data points it looks like 7/10 is the last week of 2020 builds, and 7/17 starts the 2021s.

Now that my 992 is 6 weeks away from delivery, I went to order my custom plate for it as well. Here's the answer I got:

Personalized Plates

Our personalized plate application is temporarily unavailable due to damage to the license plate manufacturing facility experienced during the March 2020 tornado in Middle Tennessee. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Wow that's terrible. More reason to keep MY20. I hate the DMV, and figured COVID was going to make it tough to go through the process again; let alone the facility shutting down. I wonder how long it's going to take to get it back up & running.

Our Build Date is 7/17. It is a 2021...Dealer told me it was their first 992 - 2021 allocation. Do not know if the Commission Number is a designator, but Trackmunkey's starts with D 80513. Ours is E 12534.
