Spoke to Porsche USA today. My car locked on 7/7. But my SA's tracking sheet shows it going into production on 7/24 and leaving production on 7/24..... Dealer delivery has not changed, 9/11. Still no TYD. They are supposed to call me tomorrow to figure out why. Not sure who is doing the status updates on these. Maybe it's a school class project to see if students can schedule a manufacturing line.
Ha--that totally got a laugh from me! I feel the same way--definitely seems like it's a manual process, or that some batch processing occurs that is not exactly real-time.

TYD is absolutely useless. It is always way behind schedule. There are now two notifications, one in My Porsche and the other in TYD. My car is sitting at Emden (SA told me) and waiting to be loaded on the boat. My Porsche says it has been produced (but not at port), and TYD says it is starting production.
My SA will tell me which ship as soon as he knows. Your SA is the best source of information and they are just as excited as you to follow your car.

My car sheet had the same thing...doing a full production - start to finish- on one date. It ended up going into production a bit early- and the actual dates for the week filled in after the fact. That's per My Porsche and my SA. As for TYD, I'm "Scheduled for Production" or some nonsense like that. My car is confirmed to be waiting at the port at Emden with her brother's (Dan and Todd ;-) and waiting for her ship to sail! As long as the school project is doing the schedule (and probably programming TYD)- and the project isn't on the production- we may be okay ;-)

Thanks. Saw your car car last week sitting outside Scott’s office before your Saturday pickup. Looked amazing, especially the seats (as expected). The guys did a super job on the full wrap as well. All 992s are a 9+ but you built a 10.

Maybe your and metalbond and others are on the same ship? btw...I think it was you who kept a list of "things to ck " at delivery.....do you have it?
That would be great -- but my TYD is saying the the 17th still. What port is your ship is going to?
Thanks for reminding about the "things to check at delivery" too. I'll need to copy that now because it's getting close!
