Thank-you for the update. While it may not be the news I want to hear, at least you are keeping us well informed.

Agreed... thank you! All I can say is that the September date has stuck for a while now, so either they know something we don’t and we’ll get the good news shortly or they’ll have to come up with a new date/excuse.

CARB approvals come out roughly every two weeks. Today many cars were approved including Audis and Lambos from VW Group but no 992. My hope is for 29 Aug CARB approval list to have the 992 on it - which means there is a chance some dealerships will get cars by 13 Sep. But looking pretty unlikely...

Hi,

I did not opt for the PSE after having tested both versions... The difference (sound-wise) is really close to nothing and I really liked the looks of the standard exhaust (double pipes) ...
But whatever choice you (and I made): it will be fun driving !! I ordered in April and hope to have my car delivered by end November !

Just got an unsolicited email from my dealer in the past hour saying "The on sale date has changed to September 6th". I'm told my car is on the water towards Jacksonville (I'm in FL) and they expect to have it at the dealer a few day in advance of when they can sell it. Also told things may always change. I'm in no particular hurry, but would be good to get for fall.

Yes, My dealer says September 12. Worst case September 26. Invites for the launch event should be coming soon. Either way I planned for October 01.

So close...

So Canada has an official Launch Date with invites for 12 Sep, but nothing official for USA launch yet which is supposed to be a week earlier...

Not looking good.

My car ETA is September 13. I can't wait! Best of luck with your car!
Thank you.

I pondered over the colour for quite a long time, originally when the car was first launched, I wanted the Gentian Blue (my old 991 was White) but when I saw it in the flesh at the launch event, I decided not to take it - the colour is beautiful, but it shows up too many swirls and looks like it will be a pain to maintain... I then had to choose between Carrara White (I wanted the metallic this time) and Crayon (you guys call it Chalk)... I think it's sorta my only regret, when I see a crayon car it looks incredible... don't get me wrong, I love the Carrara White of my car, but if I attend a Porsche event, and there are lots of other Porsches around, then it can sometimes look a little less impactful. I didn't take the Crayon because it would have cost an extra $4,000 and I was already on my (self imposed) limit of $140,000 - I had to draw the line somewhere. If you have the budget, go for the Crayon/Chalk, it's something special. But I am very happy with my Carrara White.

My interior is the full black leather on sports plus seats with the crayon stitching and red seat belts - I love the interior! It is very upmarket and luxurious and the crayon stitching and red seat belts just liven it up enough. My previous car didn't have leather on the dash and door trims, adding it to this one was definitely a no-brainer... these cars have to have full leather.

Will try post some pics for you.

My SA just talked to Porsche rep. Non Carb states 992s will be released 1st week Sept. Carb states could be as late as 4th week but they expect earlier.
Of course this could change.
