i just asked for a discount and the dealer gave me 8%. Best approach is to just ask for one and see what they offer. I would ask other dealers also. Generally they want to know your build so have a code.

Waiting is (almost) over. Car arrived at the dealership today.

TIMELINE:
Vehicle ordered Nov. 26, 2019.
Exited Production Jan. 19, 2020; held for scheduled ED pickup in Zuffenhausen April 22.
ED cancelled by Porsche March 26.
(COVID-induced radio silence lol)
Vehicle departs Emden on Siem Confucious June 16.
Siem Confucious arrives in Halifax June 26.
Delivery to dealer July 7.

Sat in the car, started it up, took pictures...expectations EXCEEDED after 223 days of anticipation. It. Is. Stunning.

Hi,

my dealer here in Switzerland says he is not able to see the production date. So i asked him about the lock date and that was 6/18. So how long does it usually take from lock to production? 4 weeks?

At most.

Where in Switzerland? I lived in Zurich for a year, and then Bern for four years. I still travel there occasionally.

Lock date to production is usually 2 weeks. Most people who have locked on your date are in production or out of production now. Odd that your dealer cannot see the actual production date.

Yes, he says they are not able to but i am pretty sure they just don't know how. Strange, because it means that all others that buy a Porsche there are also not able to see the date.

Kermit, if you will look at the first few pages of this long thread, you will see it is about 3-4 weeks.

Spoke to Porsche USA today. My car locked on 7/7. But my SA's tracking sheet shows it going into production on 7/24 and leaving production on 7/24..... Dealer delivery has not changed, 9/11. Still no TYD. They are supposed to call me tomorrow to figure out why. Not sure who is doing the status updates on these. Maybe it's a school class project to see if students can schedule a manufacturing line.
