genuinely curious, you said you paid some ADM on your first GT car… how confident are you that your dealer will sell future GT cars to you at MSRP vs them blowing smoke?

When you’re done with your palantír Saruman, pass it along. I’d like to know what the power ball numbers are going to be this week.
Ah, the argument that 'no one can predict the future, so live now, buy what you want, don't worry about overpaying.' Good luck with that.

Zero. But If they want this one on trade and at market value, they better. Nobody has a cristal ball and market conditions then will play a role. However, They already showed good faith by giving me a GTS 23 slot at msrp with no wait and when others are still asking for premiums amd collecting lists. If they falter, I’ll just take my business elsewhere.

Things are coming down, I wasn’t event really shopping but saw one of these in person and sent out two emails on Saturday and Monday come get it MSRP. Yes, my wife likes it so that’s all that matters before the flames. 😎

Color Moonlight White Magno is awesom! Yes, I know it’s not a Porsche but point is pricing will stabilize if you wait …..now if you don’t all good get what you want and feel good about it’s just money.

How old are you?
How many Bear Markets have you been through?
Do you have a newsletter or blog that I can subscribe to for more "predictions" on the economy and markets?
How are you currently "positioned to take advantage" of a downturn?
Are you short equities, bonds, or the U.S. Dollar?

Sounds like the is old enough to have some patience and not so old he is worried about getting a GT3 yesterday.

Pretty wild the G63's are already down to sticker. Someone told me (no actual idea) they were like 100k over a year ago.

I've always been patient too.
And the very first Bear Market that I had actual "skin" in the game was 1980 - 1982.
Lots of people make predictions... but I find that having actual "skin" in the game is an entirely different animal.

I paid an ADM for a 2023 GT3 Touring.
I was comfortable with the ADM because I thought that it was "reasonable" given my financial situation.
Also because I was given an opportunity to purchase a GT car that might not otherwise be available to me given that I've only owned 2 PCars in my entire life.
Everyone has their own unique situation. That's why I think it's pointless to cast "generalizations".
October build.

Well, let's see, I'm sitting on a pile of cashing and waiting to buy stocks and real estate and maybe more cars when prices drop. Never paid ADM on any car, including our two Porsche GT cars, and never will. There will always be nice cars available to buy.

No. Many are invested in stuff and watching prices fall. Majority of my investable assets are currently in cash.

I have a seriously difficult time believing that anyone is fully-invested in equities (or bonds for that matter).
I also dont believe that anyone has a significant portion of their net worth wrapped up in a GT car.
I guess that's my overall point.

Just view cars as zero value once you drive them off the lot, it takes away all the silly talk …it’s a consumable. Some get lucky and make a little, but if you look for zero life is easier just saying.

And even easier still when one just stops worrying about how and how much others are paying for their cars.

Isn't that the point of this thread? Maybe the thread should be deleted and all talk of ADM banned. I'd be totally ok with that.
