Makes me wonder what a nicely spec'ed manual Touring with buckles would go for. But my car is going back to my dealer once I'm done with it.

Are buckles an option? That will drive up the ADM.

I inquired with New Country in Greenwich over the weekend and they are asking for a $75k ADM on a winged GT3 order. Current ADM on the Touring is around $100k.

The market may be softening, but it’s still very strong for GT cars….at least around here!

I don't think we're going to see significant recession in the US until the next year. The US is due for it. Recession was simply shifted into the future because of al the stimulus, and that money is still circulating through the economy. A lot of that money is being paid back through inflation, but inflation will be brought under control through things which slow the economy.

Not surprised when 991.2 cars are still selling way above sticker (991.2 Tourings are still $50K+ over and winged cars not far behind) and many of them are out of warranty and 4 yrs old at this point. Given that dynamic, I just have a hard time visualizing 992 GT cars trading at sticker in the near future absent a mass calamity event in the economy. I'm sure prices will go down as the hype recedes, but not all the way down to MSRP.

Do you remember where prices were before the pandemic?

Of course, but we've increased the money supply by 50% (or $7 trillion, give or take) since, and we have rampant inflation. That newly minted money is still in circulation, chasing assets, particularly "luxury assets". Certainly, the speculators and highly leveraged buyers will drop out of the market, but i don't think that'll be enough to balance supply/demand for prices to return to MSRP (in the short term).

You may be right, but I think decline in the stock market and other markets, as well as drops in corporate earnings, are going to hit demand and will tend to pull prices down on everything. It seems that a significant percentage of buyers of these cars stretch financially to buy them, and when their finances tighten, many of them will need to sell, thus increasing supply.

Honestly this thread and site is plagued by salesman pumping the ADM. Get ready buttercup cause it has started. And honestly coming from a real buyer who gave up on a 992 GT3 I can’t wait to watch.
Before you say I’m just bitter I got a 997.2 Deman 4.5 ready to rip.
Let’s all enjoy the show. My call is a across the board $75 k drop from todays value.

… and maybe also people who already paid ADM pumping the ADM, to keep resale prices up and not feel so bad about having paid ADM.

I have two Porsche GT cars and have no problem with their values coming back to reality.

I think it is more of this than sales people on here, by paying ADM you are justifying the valuation at that time, realizing the car can be $25K-100K less than what you paid within 12 months brings out people defending their valuation. There are a lot of people on here who claim to be super wealthy that it does not bother them, but if I were wealthy enough to throw away $100K I would not be defending my purchase online. There was that blue winged car that sold for $292K recently, then there is this red one that didn't even fetch $225K. Not sure why there are such discrepancies in prices.
