That GTS (biased towards white, but that color combo is great).

I don't understand why you say the lifting of the stop sale campaign on 991.1 sport chrono cars is no longer accurate. It is accurate, at least where I live. My local dealer is advertising right now online a 2014 C4S and the list of equipment prominently says it includes sport chrono.

Under Porsche's stop sale order, its dealers have been able to advertise affected vehicles as "for sale" and can even take customers' money - - they just can't complete the transaction (i.e., transfer title) and deliver the car to the buyer.

Did they disclose what, if anything, was done to the car before delivery??

That wasn’t my understanding. My 991.1 was totaled by Hurricane Ida and my dealer has tried to sell me on the Sport Chrono 2014 C4S he’s got. I was told I could have it “next week.” I’m going to double check to see if that’s still the case, and I’ll post what I learn.

would love to hear what they say. please do report back,

the "next week" thing kinda made my ears go up. were they anticipating something to happen or change that maybe didn't/won't?. just thinking out loud here. hopefully you'll find out....

ask them flat out.....if i buy this car today, will i be able to drive it home today?. anything other then a yes should be a red flag imho

Because that is precisely what I was told by a sales rep at Porsche Colorado Springs, which is one of the more reputable Porsche dealers in our region. I was just passing along what I heard from them. Advertising a car for sale vs. actually selling the car and allowing someone to take possession are two totally different scenarios. I would suspect your local dealer is just trying to get someone to place a deposit on the car they have listed so they can transact a sale quickly once the stop sale is actually lifted.

Exactly. They can still market them and take deposits on the affected cars, they just can't complete the transaction and let the prospective buyers take possession at this time. At least that is what I was told.

Sorry to hear your car was totaled. Please do keep us posted. It's my understanding that the stop sale will end "soon". If you can take delivery of your new car next week, that would be fantastic.

I’ll get to the bottom of it and report back.

I've also asked my sales rep for an update..should know sometimes this week on my 2012 c2s sports chrono manual.. there is definitely some inconsistencies here between porsche dealerships if some of the posts I've read are true.. but as it stands at my dealership in canada.. stop sale has not yet been lifted

Here's the bottom of it: my dealer says his available 991.1 sport chrono car can be sold and delivered. I asked whether Porsche is pausing the lifting of the stop sale temporarily as I believe someone on this thread thought had happened, and my dealer said "I haven't heard anything like that." Now, if only my dealer's price on that Sport Chrono 991.1 of his was reasonable .... But sadly, it's not.
