Yeah, noticed the steering wheel is not centered but it was off a bit before as I just replaced it with a 930 steering wheel and did not get it right...

THANKS for the heads up!

For most cars, raising the rack in the bushings causes a smidge more toe-in, for those same 'most cars' a good thing. Still it's worth checking.

Also, for my 928 drive that is stopped for nearly a year, I finally ordered a timing belt kit in order to make re rolling this summer.

A+

Please share pics of your battery switch installation when you are done. I originally inteneded to put one adjacent to the jump-start post under the hood, but there just isn't a convenient place to put it without some too-serious car modifications. Next best place is somewhere near the CE panel as your post suggests.

Thanks!

Changed out my leaking power steering pressure line for a nice new one. One of those easy jobs that can be frustrating when things aren't cooperating. Getting the bolt started on the pump end took waaaay too long. But no more puddles on the floor.

DROVE the '88 today... Was a little bit of a "hooligan" in it though. I just can't help myself with that AWESOME sounding RMB, windows down and the newer lower geared trans in the car it just BEGS to have the peddle all the way to the floor! LOVE THAT CAR!

Continued to road test the recent TB/WP change. Charged up the AC (to benchmark how long it will last) and transported some smiling children to and from our visit with their grandparents.

They were so happy to be riding in the 928 that they didn't hesitate when it was suggested we wash the car while at their grandparents

Lot's of talk about SITM while washing the car. I use every chance I get to perfect their car washing skills

Re-oriented 930 steering wheel so it is straight, installed LED instrument lights and washed it!

And... got some great news, Wojtek is sending me some of the extra HVAC overlays so I can complete my LED project... He is also sending the TIFF files so I can get others made as well!

Below is what he is sending me, great guy!

Temporarily Screwed the oil filter on, set the spark plug wires lightly on and then discovered that I forgot to connect the vac line to the flappy $%#@
I think with the maf rubber elbow off I can reach in there, I hope.

These are all just checks to make sure everything is right.

Since I have to mess with something lighting related every now and then, I turned this (the housing for the CHMSL):

into this (to reflect more light):

using this (Dupli-Color CS101 "Chrome"):

Although it doesn't matter much, I'll clean up that top edge a little (remove the paint) before I put it back on.

I'm getting the yearly inspection in the a.m. so I pulled the X pipe off. It's the first time in nearly two years since the cats have been on, what an enormous difference. Soooo quiet! While I was in there I checked the flex plate/clamp. Since installing the P Klamp about a year ago, virtually no movement. That's with about 1200 miles with the MURPH kit. After I got her all together, on the highway we went. A kid in a Jetta wagon wanted to play soooo. Very fun. Have a great weekend, and Happy Mother's Day.
