Radiator was out for cleaning today. Inside was OK, looks like new thanks to religious coolant changes and correct chems. Outside was another story. Spent th best part of a couple hours cleaning rocks/sand/bugs/trash out of the external fins. Juts a few hoses to fit up in the morning Saturday, then a trans service.

Completed Porken Tensioner installation. Several bolts on (AC Compressor and Air Pump ) brackets had to be re-tapped due to evil previous mechanic. It's a wonder they just didn't use nails! Next week starts the TT replacement. Already sprayed many rusted bolts in anticipation of the festivities. Life is Good.

Thanks to Martin's stencils this was super easy... Thanks Martin! The felt had been rubbed off anyway so I needed something to make the parcel shelves more presentable and since I had all that Can-Can red seat leather from the worn out '84 seats I figured this would be a good use for a small bit of it anyway! Not bad!

Oil change from brand X somethingW-XX oil to 15W-50 Mobil 1, and installed a new sending unit. Now I don't have 5 bars at idle, but a more accurate 2.5 at idle and 5 under load. It was a good day to wrench.

repaired bad vac hose to WUR,removed old AC radiator. cooling fins were falling apart and causing the AC radiator to creek over bumps, not really needed in IRE so might leave out for good.although will probably put a wire mesh at the back of the front bumper to stop stones going through my newish coolant radiator, think the old AC rad may have been providing this protection. stripped and cleaned passenger side window reg motor working for now but motor is even louder than the drivers side!must try and pick up a replacement im sure it will stop working again sometime.coffee break now ,next job vacuum insulation thats falling apart under the hood.

Installed a new accelerator cable.....not a bad project just needs a little thought (seperate thread).

Im fully prepped for the intake install once the new FPR arrives. Once thats all done it will be time to go driving, shark tune the ECUs, install new C3 wheels when budget allows and I want a new radio that has ipod connectivity so I can finally be rid of CDs, tapes and 8 tracks

I'm thinkin' of a set of Colins cams in the fall if I get some quality driving time this summer.....down time is a real drag.

Went to Goodwood Breakfast Club Supercar Sunday. Same concept ad the Cars 'n Coffee in America, at the historic Goodwood Racing circuit. Amazing array of fast, expensive and exotic cars on display, not too mention a fun drive to the circuit.

Back to reality, painting the bathroom this afternoon...

Finished a very long TB/WP replacement project, replaced all belts, hoses, added rislone during oil change within minutes noisy lifter became hardly audible, added PKLAMP, added Porkensioner, installed some ricer air hose (spectre) as a replacement for the alternator cooling hose....

Oh, and made sure my 8yr old and 12 yr old got enough grease under their fingernails before they go home to Mom (my ex) after 10 days of Spring Break with Dad

Still need to:

-Replace MM, Oil pan gasket and sort out power steering leaks
-Chase down AC refrigerant leak (just keep topping it off for now)
-Replace Trans and Diff Fluid
-Flush PSD
-Detail the heck out of the car

I would not have had the confidence nor the correct parts if it weren't for a great community of drivers (thanks for the write ups Dwayne!) and vendors (thanks Roger and 928intl)

By the way, in 1990 the AC Belt size changed from 13x1125 to 13x1080. Took me a bit too long to figure that one out

My crew (8yr old/12 yr old) and I (nearly 40 yr old --- yikes!) are closer to being ready for SITM!

Happy Sunday!

Cleaned up my fuel hardlines, and replaced the stock fittings with AN6 throughout as part of my conversion to MS3X.
