Ticked some more off the preventative maintenance list on the GTS today.

Removed the tail lights, cleaned and checked all connections, fixed a small lens edge leak, cleaned out recesses and replaced.

Pulled sunroof liner out, cleaned tracks, re-lubed, checked adjustment and operation and re-fitted liner ... now I have smooth fast operation again.

Pulled the intercooler off, then the convertor/mixer and plenum, removed the hat from the mixer and modified it to fit a couple of blow off valves.

Removed the piping from passenger side turbo and modified it to fit a blow off valve.

cleaned and painted these components and refiited them including a couple of blow off valves on the hat.

left everything in pieces, waiting on normal trading to resume so I can buy some more BOVs then will complete reassembly.

Cheers Roy

Checked flexplate (no movement since last check), checked crank end float while I was in there (OK) and then fitted a PKlamp.

Checked the underside for the effects of the salt that is dumped on our roads in the winter, all seems well. Protected where necessary.

Worked on how to get front parking sensors installed on my 86, so the wife doesn't hit the curb and rip off the front spoiler! If it works, details to follow.

Nothing...Last night my wife was going to a meeting and like I often say "take the 928, you will love driving it". For the first time she said "sure" She obviously enjoyed it because guess which car she took today.

Okay, had to do something. When Katie brought the car home, she said the sunroof was sticky so I cleaned out the drains and lubed the slides. Pass front drain was blocked and still is blocked using Merlins weedwacker method. Sunroof works great now, will have to clear drain this weekend.

Moved the car to the overlook parking area and covered it.

Did a lot of painting today on house-project stuff, and managed to get the new rotors painted Zermatt Silver with clearcoat on the exposed part of the hats. I'll dig around tomorrow for a can of instant spray galvanizing I know is in the paint locker, and do the fins and the outer edges so they don't rust.

I need to find some metallic black for the calipers too at some point. I'm not a big fan of the red or yellow caliper look for my own black car, but a subtle metallic black might be just the right touch. Opinions?

PCA SGVR concour on Sunday. Not displaying the car, but it does need to look at least halfway decent in the parking lot. Following weekend is SITP, so a little clean-and-detail is probably appropriate this Saturday. Lunch from the grill if anyone wants to come by and cheer me on. Plus there's some old dark beer in the pantry fridge I'd just hate to pour out. Help me out by consuming it for me...

At long last my parts package arrived.

Throttle body is fully assembled with repalcement ISV hose that broke, new ISV And TPS, new throttle plate brgs, new air guide etc. Tbody with new gaskets then bolted to the intake which was previously preppped and now ready for install. The new fuel dampner is fitted with a previously rebuilt hose so now all we need is the fuel regulator, a mistake when ordering, to arrive and she'll be running for the our late spring. New CPS and injectors will be installed also.

It 'll then be +5mths since she last spun a wheel in anger......so looking forward to it
