I was still in uniform, they let me go.
What kind of uniform Erik?

As per the thread I am slowly working away at my Tec-GT install.

Getting clear in my head the way the wires should be routed before I tape and loom them.
Mounted the MAP sensor (not sure I like the location)
Hooked all the throttle, trans, CC cables.

Took Deb to the Spa so I can have 3 hrs of peace

Now back to building the harness

Went hunting for the root cause for several mysterious noises coming from some where in the backend. The fuel pump is abnormally loud so I figured I'd look inside the fuel pump area. Found lots of dirt, cob web, bird seeds and other gack but the fuel pump was mounted as it should be with plenty of rubber for vibration isolation. Vacuumed out the cavity, sanded and repainted the cover. The search for noises and rattles continues.

Finally got the car out today, went for couple hr drive washed and towel dried it.
Stopped off to a dealership today just to inquire about what an offer would be if decided to trade in.They said even if your not ready now they had time to look the car over and said mid teen's.So when the time comes if I don't sell it outright at least know the offer will be around 15k on a trade. Also asked about dealers giving 4 to 8% off MSRP depending on what car model etc and they said when the time comes they would work on price also. When the time comes looks like might go for the trade in instead of listening to someone try to lowball price.

HaHa. Take your wife to the spa so you can build your harness!! Classic gearhead!

I can only work on my 928 while the wife is away, too.

Uniform is paramedic.

Thanks Erik, that is a compliment that I will take.

Today I plan on spending more time on the wiring.

When I get confused or am thinking about the best location, I stop and continue bolting on parts.

I still have to install the Alt, PS pump, Rad, belts, and the lines.

slowly going together

I just broke my second one in 1 year. I have a brand new one to install but they are a real bear to install. The one I have to put in is new compared to the used one that just failed. If this one breaks I have an underlying cause somewhere. I am going to delete the metal theft barrier shield this time.

I tore my whole A/C system apart, put in a new compressor, new expansion valves, replaced every O ring, flushed every line and never, ever want to do it again.

Yesterday 300 miles through the mountains.

No problems, ran like a champ. Tons of stares and thumbs ups
