Got an alignment at Sears today. Tech was great, did a super job and didn't mess with the ride height. Very happy with results.

My window to drive this year is very limited Brad w/the big euro trip.
Looked at another car in Calgary last week......190k kms, needs much TLC but it runs and drives
then I'd only have twice as many 928 issues and one less wife

What I did today
Was I finished sanding the cam cover and started to paint it.
The compressor air must have had some oil in it and I had to sand most of the paint off.
Repainted, wet sanded with 400 and painted again. Now it looks better.

Last night we drove it to the Mirage, our oldest son got us tickets to see Lewis Black, after dinner.
It's amazing how many people have never seen a 928, and think it's a new Porsche.
My favorite comment:" Is that the new coupe, I,ve been reading about?" When I told him my car is 24 years old he was totally flabergasted!

1) Adjusted the suspension (She sits higher now). She handles COMPLETELY different. Thank you my Porsche brothern for that tip!!
2) Replaced a shattered fog lamp lense
3) I think my shifter is WAY too long. So, I am looking at shortening it a bit.

Three Wheelin'
Just finished installing a new "Racing" timing belt, water pump & porkensioner and deleting the air pump. Took two days, but its finally DONE!!! Thanks goes out to the 928BuckeyeLandSharks for all the assistance, advice, tools! I supplied the blood, sweat & tears (mine when I ripped my knuckles over the A/C comperssor). Parts were kind of expensive... Labor costs were three large pizzas, some kielbasa & cheese and plenty of ice cold beer!!
YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!!

Thanks to being armed with Landseer's excellent pin-out chart found here https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...-out-list.html I replaced one bad wire to the male side of the engine harness 14 pin connector. I also ordered some silicone tape on eBay as I will be re-sheathing the wires in the days to come. I will also need to locate a new 14 pin block as the male side cracked some upon an attempt at re-inserting into plastic holder. Are they available?

Didn't work on anybodies 928 today. Did go over to Hilton's to dissasemble the S3 Engine he bought 2 years ago from the receivers (administrators when the business goes bust) of a wreckers yard. He bought it for the S3 cams for a good price with no real thought to the rest thinking it must have been a TBF engine or 2/6 failure. Pleasant surprise on tear down - crank endplay was about .15mm - about bang on as new spec. Decided against pulling the crank and girdle at this stage as we ran out of time. Bores look as new, no metal in the oil so possibly not 2/6 failure either. Decided not to rotate the crank due to crap on top of the pistons to be cleaned up first.
Water pump looked brand new - a Laso with plastic impeller, and the TB tensioner was still full of oil. As was the sump - Hilton swore he'ld drained it 2 years ago - err no as we discovered when we turned the engine over on the stand and oil poured out of the heads.
So a bit of a score all round.
Left us speculating as to the cause of it's sometime prior removal from the donor car - possibly a write off or fire damaged car ? I doubt we'll ever know.
