Tried swapping out some traditional bulbs for LED's. I'm torn between the benefits of them being much brighter with less strain on the electrical system vs the look of originality.

I know what you mean about the led's. I usually also go for the original retro look. Have you tried to find leds that are somewhere between 2600K and 2900K? Then you might save the original look and the warm white light but get more lumens...
Do a search for 'warm white' LED festoon bulbs. They are available on both Amazon and eBay. I just replaced all my interior lights with them (several lengths are also available). Not quite as orange as the inc-y's, but MUCH less current draw. Amazon has the advantage of easy returns if you don't like the 'color'.

Yeah, these that I purchased are 6000k. I knew that they would have a whiter color than the originals, but I didn't anticipate the difference to be so extreme. It's funny how the originals didn't seem so yellow to me until I compared them. I'll start looking for something in the 3000k range as see how I like those better.
Applied some soffener leather conditioner (Color Plus) on the front seats.
It helps to restore flexibility to the hide.
Edit: This is right after applying the conditioner.
