I didn't do anything to my car as I've been away from home for the past 4 days but did see Jeremys '87 S4 tonight.

100k km pristine stock car.....a little TLC and it'll be excellent!

Finally finished my month long torque tube and torque converter bearing replacement job. Since I have a long list of rehab projects on this car and not so many dollars I went the cheap route and rebuilt the bearings instead of buying Constantine's. That cost me a week as it turns out that I'm not so good with a shop press.

Next up are rear axle boots followed by the dreaded motor mount and oil pan gasket job, then a top end refresh and when that's all done it will be time for the timing belt. Hopefully none of those jobs take as much time as this one did!

The white GTS had the indignity of having to support a couple of beautiful young ladies who did not want to put their feet on the ground!

Installed the belly pan. Had to make some minor modifications to make it fit with the DR front swaybar.

Also found the source of my clunking noise - Passenger side of the swaybar was loose at the droplink. All good now.

AO...I have a clunking sound like that too...I'll check my DEVEK sway bar for the same issue! Glad you mentioned that! (on my S4 btw)

Beat the Monday blues by washing it before work and installed a petcock in place of the vacuum controlled heater valve.

AC was much colder and no hot air "blow through" when I got on the throttle.

Thanks to JPTL for mentioning it here.

After going into the driver's door a couple of times now futzing around with my door stop, finally found the snapping noise I've been hearing while opening and closing the door was not the door stop but a warn pivot pin! Switched in the less-worn pin from the passenger side and now all quiet.

Ever wonder why you didn't think of (or try) the simplest thing first ???

James, if my car was subject to such abominable treatment as the white one in those pics, I think I would never wash it again! Talk about a new car smell!

Let me get this straight...if I buy a white GTS, women will desire to get naked and pose with the car?
This is strictly a sociological question, of course.

It is working for me...but there was also a white '86.5 S and a white '88 S4 that caused some nakedness too, so you might be ok already! Are you saying that does not happen to you often??? Hmmmm. LOL!

I gotta ask, James -

Where do you find these women?

Unless they are friends of the family I'm guessing you pay them for modelling services?
