Nah - just tie the little monkeys to the cage.

Rob Hoe had 3 girls behind his cage (but that's another story)

Mine are toddlers and not in their early twenties........

.

Yeah, but girls "the Ho'ster" put in the car were no strangers to swinging around poles....

Default FIA bolt-in roll cage petition to MSNZ

We'd have to draft one (for MSNZ to allow FIA approved bolt in roll cages) but I reckon we'd have common sense on our side.

Yeah. Guys with R-comps had big chunks missing. My last set of then-new 300 treadwear road compound Sumis lost about 25% of the usable tread depth and looked like they'd been rasped. Something like $400 worth of tyres during about 15 minutes of running the courses. It was so worth it though, even if the cap I won wouldn't balance up the books

Hey John, thanks for posting the Carrera GT startup vid. I had a perve at that car half naked today (the car not me) but it wasn't running. Those straight pipes really come into their own with some revs on. VRAlex (RIP - died road racing a 996 Turbo) had one and posted some YouTube vids way back. Feral roar.

What no revs! sounds ominous though, a beastly growl. The newest porsche supercar on the other hand will be silent at idle with its hybrid engine it seems.

No revs. They were doing some necessary start up, not showboating.

True, that would have probably set off alarms in the Audi dealership eh. Some great footage of the new 918 on the latest Top Gear for infotainment. Does anyone know if any 918s will be ordered for NZ?

As some will know that's my car. As I'm based in Napier I haven't experienced it first hand yet, however Tony from CCS got it warmed up this evening and then called me and played the "music" through the phone.

Apparently it will set off car alarms in cars that don't even have an alarm!

My old GT3 had a noisy exhaust and in Taupo I was told it was too loud to go on track. It would seem the CGT to will most likely break all the rules.

Can't wait to get it back to Napier. Next week it gets wrapped a gloss black.

Matt, it's looking good as is and they are being very careful. Not even the 959 was sectioned off.

Matt I really hope you can hook up with an RSG track day at some point. Of all the cars in the Porsche museum, the one I just couldn't tear myself away from was the CGT

I'll bring my own bib, got plenty of those around at the moment!

Nice details shots John. Plenty of interesting detail to gawk at on the CGT, it'd draw quite a crowd at any location.
