I think he does mid- 18's in it and wants about $32K.

So 100kg out and stiffer track geo should be good for 16's?

No wife for me. She fly's in on Wednesday flight. I need to bed in a brand new set of brake pads and tyres so it will be vomit time for sure.

I intend to drive at entirely anti social speeds hence why I said I only go if Paul goes (as in drives so we can chase each other). Unfortunately after being on these unpaved slow roads I need to blow some cobwebs LOL!

I'd budget for sorting out the engine... deep sump, new ceramic IMS, GT3 OAS, say $4k. Oh, and chip, sports exhaust, sports seat, descent set of track tyres. It runs Pagid yellows nicely. Oh, and a cage? That ought to do it :-P

Not sure that makes any sense. You still dont have a race car, it does 1.16s (which can be achieved in a 993) and its now costing 45-50K?

I was pretty happy mate. To be up the front with some seasoned campaigners was a good buzz. I was even more surprised to see we were running the same times as Modern 2WD and would've been 3rd in that class at the same time too.

Here's the obligatory carnage shot c/o Dan...

Well I'm not sure what counts as a rebuild but I've already had some engine work done a couple of years ago when the head gasket went. Ignoring the "while you're in there" jobs, it probably did cost around 7k

Once is enough for this car I think...

That looks completely shagged. I saw the almost non existent time difference to the modern 2wd and that you came 1st equal in stage 2, awesome.

Sean. Surely your were running in Modern 2WD? There was an early 70s 240Z in Modern and a few E36 BMW. What dictates the 964 as a classic?

Yes, I agree Chris, well done Sean. I have no doubt your driving skills coupled with your 964 made the ultimate package.

Ive looked at the entrants list. Im seeing model year cars all over the show (classic vs Modern). What dictates who drives were - both groups seem to have cars from the 70s to 2000s.
