Paul. All looking good. Are they RS engine mounts I see? I assume the turn buckles are drop links? Those FDM reproduction motorsound exhaust tips are the closest available to the real thing and look very nice....now you just need their golden rod shifter and RS fork...
Yes RS mounts, and yes short shift and golden rod going in too. RoW sways hiding somewhere too - but that's it other than Led lights and 3 spoke 996 wheel, to go in some time over next 2 weeks. I also have original radio cdr 21

Paul. So you've dropped some decent coin just lately! I'm sure it will be all worthwhile to help break below the 1.18 mark for the 993 brigade. Need to keep roughly 2.5-3.0 s between us and the fastest 964 to prove technical superiority LOL!

Apples for Apples. Sean's 964 is closer to Steve's Gulf car than it is Doug or Johns 964s. Its a stripped, ultra stiff, fully caged, tweaked engine ex race car with cup car suspension and PUK clutch. That said would be fund to put Steve into your car next time out there and see what he can benchmark for us?

Wow. Read the thread. He got totally tucked. I feel really bad for him. I hope he wasnt buying one of those offshore to save money - good ones are cheap enough here without having to take risk of shipping and compliance. I agree he is due compensation but I cant see any UK dealer paying for the resto - that's just wishful thinking. Even the shockies were rotten. Thing would surely be a death trap at speed or in an accident....

No I don't think it was to save money - most of the cars I heard about him looking at were actually more expensive landed. It was about finding a good one given the very limited stock on the market here.

Really gutting to be done over like that. Most of the guys on Pelican have been supportive.

Those boxster wheels with the new Toyo's should bolt right on and must be close to the legendary 221's.
Ha ha. I've been thinking along similar lines too. Benchmarks are good. Not sure when we'll get back to HD but plenty to look forward to in the mean time. Don 't have anything as flash as an aim... Just my mostly reliable Harry Lap Timer iphone app.

Oh that sucks so much. Poor guy. Peter Booth worked hard on me to NOT bring in an old 911, showed me a fair few pictures of disaster imports costing $30-40k to bring back to being reasonable.
