Any Rennlisters from New Zealand?

****e! I haven't been on Puke for years but I remember watching the V8s go around there thinking "they re-did the track and made it bumpier?!"

I wish I was half as good in practice as I am in theory. With so little opportunity to drive on the track Im subscribing to the "fake it till you make it" philosophy. As a sales guy I have some experience with this methodology and its served me well LOL!
2014 for me personally is about increasing my track hours and improving my track craft. The car is last on the list - it hasn't had a thing done on it since NITT (apart from rear toe arms - the OEM were shot at Manfield) and it will see no more upgrades now until Targa NZ when I hope to finally have the upgraded brake package I have 80% of the parts installed! It will need new discs and pads anyhow after SITT. The reality is the car needs no more development - the driver does - the car is far more capable than the driver!
Im taking an instructor for SITT and NITT. Its the only way I can maximise my limited time behind the wheel on a track. I dint expect to catch up with you guys, but I just dont want to be left way behind in a year or twos time!
By my own calculations I have 375 minutes total life experience as a driver doing free laps on tracks (includes 2003 & 2005 PCNZ DE days - 2 x 15 minute free lap sessions each event). I want to triple that count in 2014....
John. What are you talking about buddy? I think you meant to say "forced induction isnt the way to go on track". We all knew that already ;-)

I politely decline to comment on any suspension work, but I will comment on intake temps. The current set up is obviously winter biased as the intake plenums heat up with the test of the engine and the air is drawn from there. Maybe I should put a Cone filter in?

John Id go straight for a MAF hot film conversion, Wong chip and have a custom neck designed for that airbox that feeds the air from under the ducktail lid. They did this at the factory for the 993RS as it had a wing. A cone with MAF would work for the track but will get a bit more heat sink during static periods if using as a DD.

Mate you are being very kind. It would be even nicer if it were true!

Sorry mate. I think you asked that before but the traffic is so thick around here you delay half a day looking at the thread and you get lost in the replies!
Yes it was via PLayday. A guy called Troy Twomy and his team. I have no idea what they are like, except that they will be better than me and know the track. I booked a early morning (first or second session) and a late afternoon (second to last session) with them for each track. www.elitetraining.co.nz
