Ive opted for my usual bout of tuition deciding the quickest way from zero to respectability is by having an instructor - so I have booked two sessions (1st and 4th) per track with an instructor. Afterall the rest of you now have 1000's of laps experience on the track...some of us have to play catch up quick ;-)
"As quickly as sensibly able" describes it well. Not looking to break my car or budget on this trip, but unless the car starts to play up I'll be trying my best. However, if passed, then obviously I was doing 7/10ths to save the car

Paul, $75 fixed price offer for new OEM 993 front pads. Had them on watch list while I worked out if they would fit my car. You interested?

Thanks for thinking of me, but pads are good and I will replace with 'yellow' enduro pads when the time comes.....

Ok. Just thought I'd ask as never hurts to have spares. In fact I'll be spending Friday night changing pads as my rears alarmed on Saturday and I had no spares.

I gather you are at practice in Friday? May need to ask for a favour to collect my tickets.

That's a 964 Turbo part no. Didn't know they were the same.

Mr Blue update. Apparently I've blown an inch thick bakerlite spacer from the induction manifold which explains the sucking sound at HDs. Now I'm going down the old. "While you're in there" routine...

My 964 pads have a 965 number as well, just not that exact number.

Good to hear it's not a big problem. It sounded like an intake air leak. What are they doing while they are in there?

A menu is being prepared. Talk of injectors but dunno if it's worthwhile or needed.

I ran Pagid Oranges on my 987 and they are great on the track but very squeely at slow breaking as a DD so I now run Porsche pads for DD (silent and v nice by comparison) and Pagids on the track where they are awesome fadeless and last well. Next order for SITT will be Pagid Yellows to try them. Nigel runs them on his 986.

I read somewhere that items around the injectors can cause leaks, with age, but hadn't heard any other issues. I suppose it's up to them to tell you the why and you to consult your wallet to decide if it's going to happen. Hopefully we'll see you out again. The calendar is now heavily biased towards the SITT so HD is all but over for me after this weekend. I can't do twilights.

I'll be interested to see how it goes. I've taken the road component into account with the SITT and gone with Brembp HP2000. Auto quip said they supply Targa cars with them. If it doesn't work out it on the track it's no big loss. The cost is not large.

The 911 Targa is unveiled. What do you think?

I wonder if it looks even better in the flesh and if this move will reinvigorate values of old 70's Targas?

Doug. Good spotting. I quite like it. I think it will be very colour sensitive. Like most of the 991 range it will look better in the flesh than in the pictures. There is something a bit hot rod about it although its a bit cliche retro and probably not as practical as the outgoing system....
