Was quite fun the brief time I was able to attend! Battle of the Sports & GT race seemed to be Chris B and the red Ferrari. (I know, I know which one, right? #46)

Very cool. Reminds me of the Lemans Classic we attended back in 2007....the sound of that vintage metal (4 x GTO in one race and some 904 and 906!) at La Sarth will remain with me a long time.

Great day out and yet again the weather looks superb! Big low on its way so may not be quite so perfect next weekend!

Go Chris B!

Matt, can you pull the extinguisher bracket, assuming I can still use an electric adjustable seat, I will buy it please.

Cheers

Thanks Sean.

Paul, we need to put a block of wood under your throttle, as it looks like you have black flagged three times !

That's a good line up - we'll be there from 10 onwards. Maybe even see Chris breaking into the 16s...?!

None of that - this is a regular casual Playday track day. We have 2 RSG groups and I think they are running 1 (maybe 2) of regular cars. Only requirements are cotton overalls, helmet and closed in footwear. Not a lot different to Uncles but fewer cars on track - we'll probably have no more than 10-12 cars in a group. 15 min sessions every 45 mins (if 3 groups) or every hour (if 4 groups). Lots of shade under the pit garages so bring some fold up type chairs and an ice bucket!!

Here we go again…

So I'm all set for soft compound 221s which I'm probably going to use as wets for Targa but now that the Targa is 6 days I want to test some harder wearing dry tires. I just don't see two sets of 221s lasting 6 days in the South Island. Let me know if you think otherwise.

Ideally I'd scrub whatever tires I go with in on the 26th of Feb and run them on the 2nd and be pretty happy with them.

Right now my only choices with availability are Toyo and Federal.

Anyone else get any other options?

I'm assuming this will be of interest to you guys too because I doubt soft 221s will last 6 days on the Tour either.
