22nd is good. Are non Porsche owners invited? If not, there could be this guy lurking outside near your Porsches with a Camo cap. Best let them in......

700 bhp! Unbelievable value! Im not sure how durable something like this would be on the track, she would be heavy (1600kg?) so you'd want to throw a minimum 380mm set of discs on there, slotted with decent pads. Im pretty sure that the 991 GT3 would keep it more than honest but for half the price this 997 Turbo is a bloody fun way to find out....

Sure. Thinking late afternoon so people can get their chores done first. Say 5 pm start.

Very sad to hear about Chris' car, glad he is okay, but what an upsetting experience so soon after getting the car on the road.

That's assuming the 991 GT3 doesn't catch on fire? I didn't know Porsche had contracted the build work to Ferrari.

If you have Disney Junior (Chanel 105) we will be fine, they can entertain too. I reckon we do dinner.......

Big difference between 700 (occasional road quirt) BHP and 700 - '7/10ths' for 15 sustained minutes on the track 10 times a year.

I don't like it's chances.

Very nice car for $119K if it's a Sunday driver.

Its true there has been one reported incident of a GT3 on fire in Switzerland on 05 Feb, from the 500+ now delivered to customers. Porsche have issues a Stop Sale/Recall for some bolts/bracket that hold the oil/water cooler together as a precaution, however my car is not affected (earlier production, prior to new batch of parts). I think PAG are having issues all over the place (new Cayman, 911 etc) with QC at the moment. They need to get theri suppliers sorted pronto. The 991 GT3 has had two official campaigns issued to date (thermostat & this bolt thing) but luckily neither has affected my or Richards car. Im pretty certain the 3500km shake down in Europe would have shown up any weaknesses in mine although the NITT will be the big test (on track).

Anyway this Chris Harris Drive video released today makes up for all of that!

No sky (can't afford it). Just bring a DVD. We have 1,000+ DVDs from out time in Indo. I'm sure there's something in there for their age if you need something new.

5pm start is good.

Just put RUSH on and tell them to stay quiet! If that doesn't do it give the boys a copy of LeMans to finish them off LOL!

Have to get down there soon when we both share a spare day.

Did you sell the C3 in the end? On my morning bike ride (no, I'm not the lycra wearing lane hogging type) I was cruising for some time next to the Bronze C3 along Tamaki drive. It came and went off the market but because it's still on the same morning commute I assume it still has the same owner.
