Yes - the Lighting Direct LJ car - asking was $80K, who knows what it sold for. I was told by 'reliable sources' it needs quite a bit of money spending on it - but who knows??

RSR - nothing happened with regards to auction.
Thanks Paul, I like that car too, has good history and ~80K sounds OK even if it does need a bit doing. For $80k it must be a lowly T underneath.
A piece of NZ Porsche racing history.

The factory cast aluminum 993 fork suffers from an inherent weakness in which the steel insert that the reverse lever actuates - is prone to failure. The cast steel RS fork does not have this issue

Thanks, just got off the phone from Steve. This is the first selector rod he has ever see go. The break is at the machined groove for the Neutral position. There is no obvious reason for this given the size of the part and the type (lack) of stress it's under. The fix is to replace the rod. That's it.

Even better - we have a spot available on 8 Feb if he wants to test its legs...

Hey na mate, I had to have a double take just then because it looks so similar and around the same price I would sell at. Still not sure the strategy for me is, need a Manual for much more track work but in love with the 964 shape.

I think it's blue if you look closely.

Sam does this make another of us considering the more dedicated (manual) track car route?

I'm thinking 944s2.....but tossing up selling the 964 as I love it so much

you me and pel could have our pick of 944 race cars by the sounds of it. we could race in the Porsche series together!

Sounds like there might be a few 964 tipos you can potentially purchase John if Sam & Nathan find something to move on to. Known history etc...
