Photo shoot this morning. Not the usual range of drop dead photos (maybe the Orange confused the camera metering?) but still a few keepers

Starting to give Mr Black's paint a bit of loving. There were a few big scratches and some rash from an off at HD. However, there are is only so much to be done given the remaining depth of 25 yo paint and, sans paint depth gauge, will just have to live with some of the RDS. I will give a very light polish over the whole car to remove the lightest of the love marks.

Finally had a chance to use some of the 3 inch pads. They are scalpels compared to the big 6 in jobbies. The microfiber pads are new too. They do they job in half the time of the foam and the behaviour of the polish as it breaks down is slightly different. I'll use these when I need to break out the big iron

Nice pics but I wonder if Orange would work better in evening light. Just could be one of those hard to shoot colours

May do. The camera seemed to have focus issues. I had it on auto so the exposure should have been correct. Now Herman is driving I can do a White photo shoot and see if that makes a difference

^^^^ JMc - you are swimming in project opportunities!!

Un-993 fender it, de-spoiler it and convert to a hard top!!

Then you would have a wide body 964!!

Or - keep it a cab and speedster it with a low windscreen and rear hood??

Worked on this car this last week! And I got one word for it...... TURD!

That won't be good news to the ChCh buyer. What was so bad about it?

Happy new year guys! Haven't caught up on the last 500 pages... Been a very busy end to last year.

Thought I'd brighten up New Year's Day with some Boxster **** I saw last month in Ponsonby. Enjoy

It's the commitment to the detail that has to be admired, note even the exhaust surround! They really thought through this...

So we'll see a certain black Cayman R rocking this look in 2016?

Beautiful paint condition as well. There's an *** for every seat and I imagine this one is toned and has real working headlights

Well, all I can say is I hope the ChCh buyer had a PPI done somewhere?? We didn't do one on it. One could say that the car is unique.... it has some good things I suppose. The paint is nice...ish. It runs well and feels like a decent 964 for the most part. But there are some issues with it. It was evident that whoever did the gearbox service / re-build was not that good. It is leaking oil pretty bad already and the clutch pedal sticks halfway in its travel at times. The needle bearings on the T/O bearing release fork are probably stuffed and or the slave is shot. The secondary muffler has been omitted... not a big deal, but one usually fits some sort of exhaust pipe to exit the rear of the car! The exhaust just dumps out of the main muffler at a 90 deg angle to the rear bumper. Oil leaks, oil leaks and more oil leaks. Brake booster pump operation is suspect. Aftermarket sound system install is a rats nest.

Its just a frankin-Porsche. As long as the ChCh buyer is aware of that, then happy motoring I suppose. HDR photography can do wonders I tell ya! Good from far...far from good!

Ha, I would if it meant a barbie for the passenger seat!
