The owner was Kevin Gimblett, he was a very angry man and wanted to know nothing of the incident.
Worse case scenario 4k plus paint.
He drives like this on the track so no hope with a trailer.

Hopefully it will get sorted easily and I won't need lawyers.

Just make a claim with your insurance company, you did not cause the accident so will not incurr the deductable, and leave the insurance company to pursue or not pursue this guy.
Just hand his details over.
This is what you pay insurance for - its their issue to recover costs.
Don't get lawyers involved in anything under a $100K - they won't add value and cost you more than fixing the car yourself. You have no mechanisum for recovering their costs without going to court.

What is it with Merc owners. Didn't Dougs Boxster get written of by a incompetent Merc owner that then tried to absolve himself of all blame? Merc C63 AMG no longer on the dream used DD list!!! Kick me if I ever wander towards one again...

I like it Jamie. At least it makes the power commensurate to the look. A NA RWB car is likely always going to be fighting physics to move these cars against the air but 450lbft + torque will take care of that...
I wonder how they handle the rear drive shafts? Massive spacers (im guessing as you can barely ever use the rotors or calipers on RWB cars) would put extra duress on the gearbox side coupling (CV) surely? The Works are light but the rubber is huge so the unsprung mass must be reasonably high.
I wonder if you could do any serious road or track driving with these without destroying the front and rear wheel guards and the front valence? I guess you could if you had 800lb front springs and 1000lb rear...

From the 993 forum... And here's a Rauh Welt 964 doing a 2:15.3 flying lap around the Suzuka GP circuit, which is a little over 2 secs faster than a 1340hp Koenigsegg One:1 driven by a professional driver.
I suspect the Koenigsegg was on stock gearing but yes, 800+hp goes a long way in a light car. Conal Dempsey's monster 800hp Porsche 964 Turbo S Le Mans replica (but with a 997 RSR sequential gearbox) was hitting over 260 kph on HDs main straight last Saturday and running some 1:05s. By way of comparison, the Joest Porsche Le Mans Prototype LMP 1-98 ran a 1:01 on its demo laps, the 935-77 a 1:14.
