Watching the Puke coverage, shame there's no Pirelli round, good opportunity for exposure of the series.

Warwick. There are no doubt better fluids available than SRF (its pretty tied and tested). We pay $100 a litre for SRF at Repco (special which has seemed to last 12+ months now). Like many Ive stock piled a bit. The reason people tend to go this way in RSG is because there are so many of us using it that its easy to find a top up on track day. There is always half a bottle laying around here or there. Its probably more an issue when you start to look at doing events like NITT & SITT.

Dont hesitate to give those Z221 a go. Like John says they are the mutz nutz and will make best use of that geo work and corner balance you had done. Cheapest go fast mod you can make good for 2s a lap!

A month or so ago I purchased a Recaro A8 to restore. Really need a second one, but could be tough finding another in NZ.
I think the A8's came out in some RUF's?

I like the engine lid treatment.

The more Pcar p0rn I read the more I want to be an outlaw
Doug, you're already more outlaw than most with the amount of B road runs you clock up!

Agree though. I was sorely tempted to bid on that long hood with a 3.6, and do see something like that in my garage at some point. Maybe when I get sick of the torque and hp of the turbo... Yeah right.

Correct, I have seen them in RUF. There were too versions, early one and later with stronger hinges IIRC. Parts hard to source now. Heavy seat but good bolster. A Touring seat. Steve R has a pair which he moves around his cars. His are one of only two sets Ive seen in NZ although Im sure some came in in ex Sing/HK imports etc.

Sold for ¥5.3M, so about $85k landed, plus (I imagine) a couple of thousand dealing with compliance. Was likely based on a '71-'73 911 although I'm not sure.

Bit more than the estimate. Your compliance estimate is low. Compliance first time rego etc around 1800 base with zero work needed from my GT3 experience. That car would have needed LVVC and they would have made you jump through hoops for sure so with GST and other things could have been close to 6 figures till you hAd it just right...

Mine is a Gen 1 which looks like this:

The Gen 1's you can see the shell of the base. The Gen 2's are the same bases at the SR3 like what Lancer Evo's, M3 Sport Evo etc have, ie cloth sides on the base.

Don't wait Doug, with mine coming to an end I'm sure that Steve would like to start another.
I'd be it itching for a mid 70's narrow body impact bumper with a big donk, lowered on chubby 15" fuchs and sleeper looks

Interesting fact: Bearing life calcs reveal that bearing life is inversely proportional to (load)^4

In other words, 10% more load = 30% life reduction, +20% = half the life...

...for new parts...

Old parts? This springs to mind:

Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well to tell you the truth in all this excitement I kinda lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and would blow your head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?

Better late than never. I offered to take some pics of the Fuchs a while back. I think they would be better for photo shopping with a solid background.
