That works well. You can get your business done before we arrive, well stop for a 20 min break and head off again around 12.30pm possibly stopping around 1.30pm for a quick 30-45min bite en route and then get into Fielding before 5pm via a 98 fuel stop. Once everyone is together we can sort out dinner. We have only three mission objectives outside of checking out the T and that's to get to Fielding safe without issue and with Buba license intact. Macca Cup is up for grabs yet again this year so please keep your eyes peeled for suitable Darwin Award style candidates...

You're forgetting the 10 year old tyres. Funny that after that day (when he spun on the first famil lap...) he went out and bought some new 888's!

Big thanks guys - appreciate the offers and for Doug driving over with the perfect solution. Hope I haven't stolen them from Lola?!!

Good to hear Pete. Doug is a good guy alright!

Check out the pictures in this listing. Date stamped 2008 and still looks like a piece of poo with out of focused images and unrealistic price for a leftie. You really have to wonder how much of the country has a P lap at home aye.

You paid it forward with the rush trip to Oakura all those months back and it's come back. Great work Doug.

Yep, didn't hesitate. Nice to repay some Kharma from Pete's and your rescue of me stranded at Oakura with a stuffed tyre as you say John. Fortunately they worked perfectly on either bolt on wheels (water cooled) or studded hubs (air cooled) so a good results.

They're normally used on Lola's rear cup 2 wheels but i have my 17" 996 track wheels with R888s fitted so the spacers were just sitting there.

Speaking of spacers for the 964. Doug did you fit longer studs on Lola to use the 20mm?

Im not sure that is recommended when extending hub. Doug used a bolt on spacer (essentially you can get only 5-7mm for a slide over one on the factory studs). The bolt on has studs in the back of it for the wheel. You are putting alot of extra stress on the bolts if you run 20-30mm longer studs to take up that difference and I dont think its safe?

Aren't the longer studs designed with that in mind?
